"Make the best of your time, it goes very quickly" is great advice! Sometimes it blows my mind to think I'm 50 years old and graduated from high school in 1984. I do miss the 80's! I wonder if high school students these days have even heard of Duran Duran. My high school was big. My class alone had about 550 kids in it. It's easy to feel like a number in that situation. I wish I knew that most of us felt awkward then. I wasn't super popular or unpopular and I had a couple of close friends that I'm still good friends with now. When I was frustrated with something or someone back then my Mom would say, this is temporary. These people, these things. She was right and remembering that got me through some tough times at all stages of my life. Make the best of your time, it goes very quickly. One thing you shouldn't do is, write I love Duran Duran all over your locker, for some reason they don't like that.

I was nervous about starting High School (back in 1980 - getting old) LOL but everything turned out good.I was mainly nervous about going from a small private school to a large public school. I kept a low profile at first, but eventually made plenty of friends and stayed out of trouble (for the most part). My High School consisted of 9th graders - 12th graders. Where I live now, there is a freshman center (where all the 9th graders only attend) and the High School consists of 10th graders - 12th graders. Has this become the norm in other cities across the country?
High school here goes from 9th to 12th

How can you post without giving details....sheesh woman.
I also feel like a teenage girl right now.
BRB...logging off and doing something manly. XD
I am so glad it went well!
So,
I am starting high school tomorrow.
I am a mixture if excited and nervous lol
Its a big jump because from first to 8th I went to a small charter school and I know no one at this high school which is completely different for me haha
Any advice from anyone?![]()
Tell your gym teacher that you volunteer to be Captain of the synchronized swim club. You will be famous!
All I know of French is "Wee-Wee", and I'm pretty sure that is really English. LOL
So,
The school day went great!
I got confused with one class and went to the wrong classroom (but everyone else did too cuz the schedules were messed up)
I met some nice people which was easier than I thought it was going to be.
I forgot my volleyball shorts for tryouts though and had to run a mile and a half back to the house to get them and run a mile and half back to the school to start tryouts
Because of that I was late (great first impression, right?)
And with how sick I am and how much conditioning we did I'm not feeling very well.
I had to use my emergency inhaler for the first time in forever lol
5 people quit just today
You should have gotten extra marks for doing a 3 mile warm up. Lol
