The step to reach the maturity of these fruits? That's like asking a 5-year old asking "What's the step I need to take to be a 25 year old?"
There is no shortcut; and there is no way except by loving God. Like a small seed, with proper care (praying and loving and obeying God), you will grow into a beautiful flower, which displays the fruits of the spirit. And don't forget; it takes time! It's not that as soon as you convert you're automatically 100% better; although there is a big jump, it takes many, many years of loving God to reach maturity.

In fact, no one ever truly reaches maturity; the most mature person in Christ right now has problems. However, the longer you grow, the more beautiful you will become.
