Ephesians 4: 4;

‘There is one body and one Spirit…’

The one Spirit Paul meant here is our Soul. The human Soul is also a Spiritual being. A spirit is any being that needs a physical body to affect our physical world. Adam was created having two spirits in him, the Spirit of God given to him and the spirit of his Soul.

The Soul comprises every human’s physical and mental reasoning. In the Soul, humans can think, act, feel, and most of all, take every decision. The Soul is the same as the human mind. Our Soul is where the real us lies. You are what you are because there is a Soul in you which can think, feel and act.

Yes, the Spirit and the Soul have been used interchangeably in the Bible, but they are quite different from each other. We have both the Spirit of Man [Soul] and the Spirit of God [Holy Spirit] living in us.

1CORINTHIANS2:11
For what Man knoweth the things of Man, save the spirit which is in him…? [ His soul mind]

That verse is referring to our Soul which is the same as our minds. Paul was making us understand that our minds [Soul] hold the secret of our thoughts. It is up to us to know who they are referring to.

JOB 34 VERSE 14

‘If He set His heart upon man, if He gather unto Himself His Spirit [God’s Spirit] and his Breath [human spirit, soul].’

ECCLESIASTES 12:7

‘…. And the Spirit shall return unto God who gave it.’

The life that Man has was in God’s Spirit which returns to him when they die. I am writing this to make you understand that Adam has a Spirit of God in him and another spirit of man which is the Soul.

The Spirit of God returns back to God after we die and never the Soul. It is only a justified Soul that can return to God after judgement. When a Man dies, the Spirit of life in him returns to the giver where He came from, the flesh also returns to the ground where it was formed and the Soul will stand alone to be judged according to what he did on earth.

1John 3:24

‘… And hereby we know that He abideth in us, BY THE SPIRIT which He hath given to us.’

The creator gave Adam His Spirit [mind, Soul] to be Adam’s guide. He was to fill Adam’s Soul [mind] with the knowledge of good and teach him enough on how to choose the good against the evil before Adam would be qualified and fit to go and live in the kingdom of the earth which was created for him by God the creator.

Ummmm...the Spirit mentioned in that verse is the Holy Spirit. And the body is referring to the body of Christ...believers. You may want to read the wider passage for context.

Spirit and soul have different names because they are not the same. You have it exactly wrong. The knowledge of good and evil brings death. God intended for Adam to eat from the Tree of Life.

Knowing good and evil enables an individual to be independent of God. Adam was neither for God or against Him - until Adam ate from the tree of knowledge. Then Adam and Eve were both afraid and both hid from God.

If Adam had the Spirit of God in him, he would never have sinned. The spirit of man is given by God, but it created by God, not God himself. You are venturing into Eastern mysticism there.

God gives the born again a new spirit. He removes the old, dead spirit through the cross. That is why the death of Jesus is far more than forgiveness of sins. God gives us a new spirit in which He can dwell. It's clean and pure and does not sin. We still have a choice, as did Adam. We can choose to live by the knowledge of good and evil, or by the principle of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. The former is the letter that kills. The latter is the Spirit that gives life.

The body falls
The soul does stand
Which was it first
The Soul or man?
If what we see, our spirit sees
Does not it have autonomy?

Of its nature, much is spoken
We see not more than just a token
Is all we glimpse, or think, or feel
More than a shadow of all that's real?

The body breathes, the Spirit leads
A symptom of duality

With sight uncommon
Or soul unbound
With vision clear
Or symbols found

The story known, though cast unborn
As from a Book, from pages torn
If then what will is known and still
Where do we find such that is Will?

A subject matter much debated
With answers great, and masticated
A simple truth might simply be...
The choices made of Will that's free
Do plant the seeds of all to be.

As story told, from symbols wrought
Of stones unturned, of dreams not sought
A choice is made from those then brought
From rainbow hues, of color not

Of food that's given, and hunger stayed
Of doors once locked, and keys then made
Of path that's walked, and price that's paid
Of faith thus kept, and doubt at bay

For though ones self be self assailed
The One does guide them to prevail

For those about, and those at rest
Ones self made known, as though undressed
From rooms within, with windows closed
To keep that in thus unexposed?

For missteps made along the way
To see ones self and unafraid
The sight made clear, the Spirit dressed
With raiment white, and oil pressed

With insight sought, from lands diverse
With face unknown, they all converse
The bond is made, though hand not given
From need thus shared, with souls thus shriven

What will to come, er soon or late
Does differ from the feel of fate?

On road ahead, a few must stand
On path thus trod, on lines thus manned
The what is clear, the where not bidden
As with a horse, with rider ridden

What will to come will come at will
As with the hounds at riders heel

My beloved brother, take this scripture and see if you can bring something out of it.
JOB 34 VERSE 14-15

‘If He set His heart upon man, if He gathers unto Himself His Spirit [God’s Spirit] and his Breath [human spirit, soul].’ All flesh shall perish together. and Man shall turn again unto dust.

1John 3:24

‘… And hereby we know that He abideth in us, BY THE SPIRIT which He hath given to us.’

For any being to be alive, she must have a mind. An active or conscious mind is very much alive. The Spirit of Man is the Soul of the Man [mind] while the Spirit of God is the Soul of God, the mind of God. Our Soul can only be alive to two lives, good and evil. The knowledge of good is life while the knowledge of evil is another life. When I say life, I mean a conscious mind. God created Adam and He gave him His Spirit [mind] for Adam to have the same mind as Him. Adam was created having two conscious minds in him. The mind of God through the Spirit of God in him and the mind of his Spirit through his Soul.

it is misconception to think the knowledge of good and evil makes us independent of God. Adam was created to have the knowledge of good when he was created and God said he was good.

GENESIS 1: 31
Then God looked over all He had made, and He saw that it was very good.

They are good because they have the knowledge of good in them through the Spirit of God deposited in them. you also said if Adam had the Spirit of God in him, he will not have sinned. You also got it on the wrong side. The Soul [mind] of Adam has the power of the will and not the Spirit of God in them. the Spirit of God can do less in him if the Soul have made up his mind. Don't we have the Spirit of God in us, why do we sin?

let me educate you a bit about good and evil. The knowledge of good is a mind [life] and the knowledge of evil is also another mind [life]. Adam was created having the knowledge of good alone. The reason being that God knows the knowledge of evil has the opposite of what He wished for Adam. Anyone with the knowledge of evil will be sick, will hate, will suffer, will anger, will be sad and will die except you know enough to manage it with the knowledge of good just as God manage His.

This is the reason God prepare a school [Eden] for Adam and his wife Eve to learn how to manage the good against the evil before they will be allowed to live on earth. God has the knowledge of good and evil and for Adam to be like Him, he have to also know good and evil. The Garden of Eden is the place prepared for Adam to have the knowledge of evil.

you might want to ask me why God planted the tree with the knowledge of good and evil in the midst of the Garden where they where being thought how to manage the good against the evil? God was given Adam the choice of deciding for himself. God was the Person that decided Adam will be better off learning how to manage the good against the evil in Eden and not Adam. The tree gives Adam the choice to decide for himself on how better to have the knowledge of evil.

These are deep things which takes God's Spirit to comprehend. i am given my number for free for anyone who have exceptions to my teachings. [+2348058816838]

Loved the read thanks for taking the time to share your study

i don’t think you quoted this one but it fits a lot of your thinking there

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”

Correct.
The context of Ephesians 4:4 is...
3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

As Cameron aptly noted, the body of Christ's Bride is referenced, not that of an individual person. It also speaks to the Triune nature of God: The Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus, and the Father. The Holy Spirit of God actually indwells a believer when they become born again.

I don't agree at all, as I've said. The fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil killed Adam and Eve spiritually. Jesus did not come to give us a better understanding of good and evil. That was given by the Law of Moses. Jesus came that we might have life (Greek Zoe, the uncreated life of God). There is no life in the mind. Once we receive the Life of Christ, we have His life to enable us to live according to God's way of holiness and righteousness. We will know these things through revelation.

In one sense, "good" is just as wrong as "evil". Doing good is not the same as obeying God. Who could say that Abraham was preparing to do a good thing as he raised his knife to kill his only son? Yet he was obeying God.

Doing 'good" is man's excuse to live independently of God. God never intended that for His creation. Lord Jesus proved that in His life on earth. He did only what He saw the Father doing and said only what He heard the Father saying. We do well to emulate Him.

Lots of " new age " here.

It is simple if you look at the creation of man. Don't add the satanic teachings to the simple formula

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God created us.
Formed of the dust and with the breath of life from God we became a living Soul.

A living soul is a physical body with God's life in it.

Don't teach that souls can't die or souls are a supernatual spirit in us.

All life comes from God.

Adam sin was as a result of his human flesh desiring to eat out of the fruit. The Spirit eat only the word of God because He is from God but it is the flesh that eat fruit which came out of the ground where he also came from. The forbidden fruit of evil was eaten into the flesh and something remarkable happened,

The flesh was activated to life and has a mind that seek after evil. The flesh that was to house God's Spirit and our Soul, now can speak. That was the reason God wanted to return it back to where is was formed and for Satan who masqueraded himself in a serpent to feed on it. Satan is the evil in the flesh that is why the flesh has to die and be dust for the Serpent to feed on.

1Thessalonians 5: 23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and i pray God your whole Spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

That tells you there is Spirit, soul and body. The problem is how to explain the Spirit from the Soul. This is a simple equation, if the Soul dies, who will God judge? Will God judge His Spirit in us? God designed the soul to live forever because He never imagine there will be a time, we will disobey Him. Even in hell, the soul live everlasting. The Spirit is from God and must return back the day we die.

1John 3:24

‘… And hereby we know that He abideth in us, BY THE SPIRIT which He hath given to us.’

ECCLESIASTES 12:7

‘…. And the Spirit shall return unto God who gave it.’

JOB 34 VERSE 14

‘If He set His heart upon man, if He gathers unto Himself His Spirit [God’s Spirit] and his Breath [human spirit, soul].’

The Soul can only die in the everlasting fires of Hell. Your soul is the real you where you have your mental and intellectual reasoning. your soul makes you feel, think and act.

jAMES 4: 5
Do you think the scripture saith in vain, the Spirit that dwellethin us lusteth to envy?

Which of the Spirit is that scripture talking about? God's Spirit [mind] in you lust after the mind of the flesh. They both are trying to get the attention of our spirit. [soul, mind].

My interpretation of Genesis is probably different than most.
When Adam and Eve ate the wrong fruit, they fell out of the Garden of Eden.
Why do I understand that? Because God couldn't find Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Of course, the Bible says God drove them out.
I think this is the result of some divine law.
We usually use the word fall.
Adam and Eve fall from grace of heaven.
Maybe you're wondering God knows everything, and why he doesn't know anything about Adam and Eve when they eaten it.
God is supposed to know things, but God says to keep hope. God's default is that they won't do that. God wants them to make no mistakes.
So God couldn't find them in heaven.

I don't think soul and spirit are two different things, Maybe the spirit is from heaven and the soul is from the flesh or earth.

'Once we receive the life of Christ' Let this mind be in you as it was in Christ Jesus. For any being to be alive, she must have a mind. The mind defines the being. The mind is life, that is where life is programmed
