I knew someone whose daughter married into a family that won nearly $30 million. They didn't seem to have any problems. They lived in a large house in an exclusive neighborhood here in southern california and had another house in Vegas that was a mansion. The mom and one of the daughters would take a limo to Newport Beach on weekends to go shopping.Californian claims $1.765 billion Powerball jackpot | Fox Business
Honestly, I would be nervous to win that much money, and everyone know I have that money. I would probably go into hiding! I've seen the TV show "Curse of the Lottery." There have been multiple people who won huge jackpots over the years only to have tragedy strike. Some of them have even turned up dead. The happier ending stories are typically those who win $1 million or less.
Good morning friends...
@Ruby123 came over for some coffee and she had a really good time. She particularly enjoyed the Gandy brew...

They did give regularly to the church. They used to be rather poor. Lived in a small house and both parents worked two jobs to make ends meet. The mother belonged to a prayer group that my relative is in, and I just happened to work with a woman whose son married one of their daughters.you know what, Gabe? that's a little heartbreaking. i can't help thinking about all the good that could have been done... maybe build a few houses for people who really need a house.
i don't know those folks, and possibly they did give away some of it, yet i haven't heard a story like that.
i'm a little grumpy. please keep posting in the thread; don't let me scare you off. ♥
