This is a question Phil. What are the spiritual blessings??

That's a good question Ruby. I think Paul gives some examples in the following on from Ephesians 1:3. The important thing to notice that all saving gifts (blessings) are mediated through Christ, and brought/conveyed to us through the Holy Spirit.

"These gifts/blessings are in the heavenly places since that is the Christians future abode in imperrishable glory when he/she is resurrected... (ESV study bible)."

The Holy Spirit who is with us now is our guarantee of these blessings, we have them already in this age, and we will have them fully in the age to come.


V4 - For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In Love.

Even before the formation of the world God had a plan to save sinners, a sinner like me. To extend his grace to those lost in darkness. To be Holy and blameless.

V5. - he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

Through His plan to make us Holy he also adopted us as Sons/daughters in Christ. To access the father before Jesus you had to go to the Temple now In Christ we as sons and daughter have full access anywhere and anytime.. What a privilege to be able to come to the Father as His children and say...."Our Father..."

And this goes on through to verse 11.


Of course the list doesn't end there, He protects us, Shields us, provides for us (not always our wants but our needs to the glory of His name and purposes and for our good), cares for us etc etc.

I'm not the best at explaining things so I hope that helps in some small way.

I had a dream about two years ago that I did not quite understand and still dont understand fully but some of what you have written has now made some sense to my dream.

Just wondering what you meant by the word mediated??

Romans 8:15-17
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
