First: I want to say that I realize that all the folks along the Gulf Coast have been suffering from constant rain for two or more weeks! Goodness. They have had it bad, and it is STILL raining in places....I pray for them daily.
However, around the homestead, it has rained many days, yesterday included. While having my morning coffee yesterday, I checked the Weather Reports, and the Radar, and DISCOVERED about a 6 hour period where it would NOT be raining at my favorite spot at Guntersville Lake.
Yeah, you KNOW what I did.....
I loaded up and drove lickety-split to the Lake, and started drowning worms!
It was dark and gray skies, and occasional wind gusts, but, all in all, it was so wonderful to be OUT IN Gods Creations, that I sang a few Songs of Praise...........(and sang a couple of tunes to attract the fishies....)
Ended up catching 11 Bream and 2 Shell Crackers. Not a bad day. Also talked to another Vet that was there, and was happy to discover he was a fellow Brother in Jesus. A BLESSED day, all in all...
