As Z pointed out - 'tater' is just a shortened ["lazy slang"] form of 'potato' - and 'taters' for 'potatoes'.

The two words can actually refer to [a] whole potato[es] - or, it may refer to a small bite-sized potato "ball", "chunk", etc.

Originally I thought they were the things that you put in the toaster for breakfast then realised NO, they are pop tarts lol. This American language is quite confusing o_Oo_Oo_O
Anyway we agree on the word coffee unless it is also called something else there as well??

Good morning friends. We had some sad news this morning; one of my son's best friends mom passed away from Covid related complications. She was not old but had some other health problems. Please pray for their family and specifically the children in this difficult time.

I hear you.

My "problem" (not that I personally consider it to be a problem) is that I'm all about matters of the heart and, therefore, that eventually just spills out of me in one form or another.

I recognize that this particular thread is more about friendly greetings/exchanges and coffee & donut gifs, so I don't want to mess that up for anybody else.

Whatever time that I spend on this site in the future will probably be more in the war zone (the rest of the BDF).

I'm definitely not too fond of that section, but every now and then (including yesterday) someone sends me a private message and encourages me to stay there.

Anyhow, it's always a pleasure conversing with you.

Sorry to hear this, and I will pray for them.

I have to attend a wake for my friend's Mom out of state tomorrow (Tuesday) myself.
