I have bush behind where I live so the fly swat is a must. The other day I awoke to a hunstman spider on the wall. Ughhhhhh. They can grow to the size of your whole hand. Yuk

Are they poisonous? I would definitely stay far away from funnel web spiders if I lived in Australia.

Ok now I've got my glasses on. Some type of corn in one bowl, beans in the other and in the large bowl either sausage, bread or roasted veggies.

Well, the braai is a very social event, the men all gather around the braai with endless beer and sports talk. The ladies are in the kitchen preparing the meat and salads with glasses of wine

When I heard "endless beer," I thought you might be Australian, but I see you are from South Africa. :)
Sounds like an interesting social event.

Hey Mailman, we're not all beer drinkers

I;m not anyway. ;)
I once met up with a group of Australian sailors at a Captain's party in Pearl Harbor Hawaii while serving in the Navy back in the 80's. I have never seen anyone drink more beer than these Australian sailors! They were putting away kegs of beer and not simply 12 packs or cases. That party lasted all night too! o_O
