Its soon to be my mother’s birthday and i have no present. No idea what to give her.
A gift card in a greeting card is great. If that's all you get her it can appear to be because you don't put a lot of thought into what she'd like. And that's because you don't really pay attention to your moms likes.
I was there when my best friend gave just that to her dad, mom had died the year prior. That's what he said to her. Honey, this is lovely but you don't really know me do you?

Most people love to get gifts on their birthday. Do you know what your mom likes to do? Hobbies, for instance?
If , as example, she loves to quilt. Why not get her something pertaining to quilting.

It's autumn. How about a comfy throw for nights by the fire or while watching that favorite movie?

I was going to give her a wearable blanket but it looks in the picture its for young adults. So i bought her her favorite movie ‘Pretty Woman’ she can probably say ‘you can come watch it with me’ (which is totally fine).

Since I’m not really digging the holiday season this year (not entirely sure why...) but I decided to have a Friendsgiving this year at my house. Only I won’t be cooking and I won’t make anyone cook if they don’t want too. I figure everyone else is doing something like this with their friends so... I can too. I don’t cook and it’s after thanksgiving so.... I’m sure no one else is gonna want to cook lol.

Besides gives me something else to look forward too. To make the best of my holidays while missing loved ones. Bless others, just like Christ blesses us with our lives every day.

Back home............had a good time, but it is always to get back home isn't it?

My Bro in Law and I went fishing.......of course.......on Saturday, and we had a good day. Went to one of our favorite spots at Ditto Landing. It we fairly crowded, being Saturday. All the "weekend fishermen" were there........ :)

We were catching mostly Stripers, but a Bream or two, and Shell Crackers......... There were to men across the cut from us that asked what we were doing with our fish. I told them we catch and release. He said they were fishing for food........ ummm, after we had thrown some back. I told him if we caught any Pan size or larger, we would keep them for them.

Turns out, we caught 7 Keepers..........5 Strip Bass and 2 Shell Crackers.............

nov fishies.jpg nov fishies1.jpg

They were very grateful to get the fish, and we were happy knowing we helped feed them and their families.......Good day all around.
The pic of the one fish is a Shell Cracker, or, some call it a Red Ear because of the red spot just behind it's ear.....

Anyway, we were only there about four hours.........and counting these 7 keepers, we threw back about 18 others.......

God is surely good.

Good Tuesday to all!

Seems this Thread is suffering from lack of interest again...........sigh.......One day I fear it will finally recede into the netherworld of the Threads gone by............

I suppose it really is true that for all things there is a Season............Has Speak Your Mind come to the end of it's Season in the Son?

There’s a time for everything.

The SYM-thread is almost four years old. Now that’s quite a life span for a forum thread.

Maybe it has run its course, maybe not, but know one thing: you done your best to keep it going😀.

Im getting a little suspicious. Why’d God make all them snakes, bugs, gators and then declare: I think I’ll put them all in the South😁🧐🤨🤔😤.

I need to stop using so many emojis😄😁.

Good Thanksgiving for me. Went FISHING! Yeah, I knew you knew I would, right?

Was a beautiful Fall day here in Dixie. Lots of sunshine, a bit of a breeze, and, at least, the Stripers were biting. Caught 11 Stripers.

I have no idea why the Bass, Bream, Catfish and Drum aren't biting........but, goodness.......anyhoo, I am thankful that I got to be out in the beauty of God's creation, and to enjoy some quiet time fishing and praying, and just talking to Him.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving as well........

Gonna post a Pic of my "fishing hole" in a sec or two........
