Have you ever turned to a TV channel and low and behold there's a "Prosperity Preacher" speaking? Or, you see some preacher telling you to plant a $eed and God will reward you for making that TV preacher richer than they already are?

I happened on this blog that is a few years old. However, since this is a "speak your mind" thread I thought it may speak to someone here. At first the title seems like it is worthy of a, Lord! I'm not reading that. But as you go along you may find instead it's , Lord, I needed to see that.

Heard a Preacher just last Sunday saying that the donations they requested were NOT intended to compensate him or his family. He stated His Church paid his salary, and every penny received went directly towards Broadcasting expenses. The guy seems ok.....don't remember his name......my Sister and Bro-in-law watch him every Sunday.......and they are fairly critical of Televangelists in general, sooooooo..........

That would be a blessing of a, not your typical rich conman in the pulpit, wouldn't it? If you ever find out the name of that one please share.

Joel Osteen says his monies are made from the sale of the books he writes and publishes. All monies received by the church sustain the church and their community projects. Same for his wife. But I wouldn't consider them to be pastors, so that may not count in this list.
 
His name is James MacDonald..d... (show name)...Walk in the Word.

From Chicago........don't know the name of his Church......but it can be googled.......
 
if an elephant and an ostrich goes to a church, the church might look like a zoo
