Dear Holy Father, I thank you, for your Word has in it, the ability to make me what it talks about, and produce in me, and in those you’ve placed in my care, and unalloyed commitment to you. We’re yielded to the Lordship of JESUS CHRIST, and to the guidance, and tutelage of the Spirit, in JESUS’ NAME.

Last week I FINALLY broke down and bought a smart phone.........I retired the Startrek flip job.....eons of miles on it....still worked, but I finally took the plunge.

I refuse to use one of them thar nu fangled fones. I currently pay $7 a month each for two phone lines. I am limited to the kinds of phones that work with this old service from Virgin. If I upgrade my phone I will have to pay a lot more and I am too stubborn and cheap to do it if I don't have to.

We only use our phones a few times a month so it really isn't worth it to us "old timers". :)

My Star Trek flip phone is still going after 6 years. It is broke on one side where it swivels so sometimes it gets misaligned when you close it. Right now I just use it as an alarm clock but the service date doesn't expire for something like 6 years. I use a simple flat screen Tracfone but still prefer the broken one as it was easier to us. I might just add another card to the old phone and hope that it doesn't break in two.

You have to understand that a smart phone has more computing power than the old massive Univac computers. The technology is amazing. And I worked in electronics for 40 years!
