so.... i was reading one of my dusty old theology books (:rolleyes:) and came across this gem from Martin Luther:

"The love of God does not find but creates that which is pleasing to it. The love of God loves sinners, evil persons, fools, weakings in order to make them righteous, good, wise, strong. For rather than seeking its own good, the love of God flows forth and bestows good. Therefore, sinners are attractive because they are loved; they are not loved because they are attractive."
 
i know people who left the church because they wanted to sing a song and someone else sang it before them.

one left the church bcuz the pastor's wife had the same dress.

one left bcuz he was picked last to a church basketball game.

i cant imagine what its like being a pastor in 2017.

Indeed. I know of a DEACON who quit the church when someone started sitting on "his seat" in church...
I also know of one who quit because they would not make him a deacon, thus proving they made the right decision in not making him a deacon.

I fell back so now what do I do?
