Actually, to say people with the gift of tongues are saved says nothing of those without that particular gift. Paul said other gifts were better or more desirable, any ways :D I never opine on tongues cuz I have no opinion haha it is like all the end times stuff, this judgement and that bowl and this seal and that trumpet, what do I know of such things? Nada, I tell you! So I keep quiet LOL. What do I know? I know God loves us, and desires for everyone to come into the Light of His everlasting love. I know how deep and how wide and how high because I went far far away from Him and He delivered me of many things when I cried out to Him and He called me back when I still wandered away after that. I was so rebellious. That is what I know. God was long suffering. I know that too :)

Do not "retreat" too far, or for too long Sister. Main reason being is this is EXACTLY what some here on CC are trying to do. Drive out/off anyone who disagrees with them and their particular Ideology (be it concerning Christianity or Political) by incessant attacks that belittle, degrade, disparage and flat out lie about people who disagree with them. There is a small number of these people here who react in "pack mentality" to go after Members who dare to express a differing view/opinion than the view/opinion they themselves subscribe to.

Do not allow them to be victorious..............for if God is for us, who can stand against us? Speak Truth, and Truth will - will out in the end.

My wife and I went to a church that taught that too. I had to show her in the bible that tongues is the least of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

You have to do this and if you don't you aren't saved is the main theme of what I argue the most with here. But I'm like you. After a while I get tired of it. I want to be an encouragement. But I'm sometimes overly aggressive in my presentation.

I hope you overcome whatever obstacles you may have in your life at the moment. I hope I do, too...
 
turned my radio on when I first got up and the song God Walks the Dark Hills was playing.........just sat there and listened..... what a great message that song contains............ made me :) all over

the I gots me a cup of coffee.......
 
Stupid cat woke me up at 2:30 a.m. then I stayed up until 5:30, fell back asleep until 8:30, woke up and went into the kitchen, and whaddya think I found on the floor? POOP. A big dried up piece of cat poop that the cat somehow got out of her potty box, (or it fell off her butt, who knows lol) and played with. :/ This is the 2nd time this has happened now. She's so fat she can't even clean her own booty.. lol

The cat is rapidly earning a one-way ticket out of here.. lol.. No the cat in my signature is just a picture I found on a public domain site, but I absolutely love it. It's gorgeous. :)

Here are some of the things I have "learned" from CC (NOT my statements opinions!)

- WE (most of us) are saved by grace / faith , but homosexuals and people who commit suicide will go to hell no matter what, no grace for them.

- People who don't speak in tongues aren't saved

- People who are saved never sin
(so: I am not saved?)

- God predestined and created people planning to put them in hell
(combined with the above: I am destined for hell, so what am I doing here ? )

I suggest not spending much time reading BDF and related threads. It seems to me there is little benefit to doing so. That way you can continue with CC and not be upset at all the foolishness represented there.
