Yes, it would be much work for the mods. There are thousands of zombie threads that they would have to delete, and this site doesn't have the time or man-power to do it.. It would take literally forever.

not just that. ppl would loose rep points and stuff with it. I saw that on another thread that had to get deleted because of a troll
about the threads, there are 2 kinds of folks:
if someone starts a new thread about a subject that has been discussed repeatedly, some folks will say, "we've talked about this a million times. next time, do a search first to find said threads."
if someone brings up an old thread, some folks will say, "this is an old thread." etc etc etc.
it's like... there's no winning lol.
i believe we just need to be patient with each other and extend a little more grace.

They only lose post counts. They keep any rep comments they get, even if the thread gets deleted..

I see. Hey, everyone I've bothered, sorry for my pigheadedness on zombie replies. I failed to check those dates. Could we have more conspicuous markers for zombie threads?
It's easy to determine if a thread is a zombie thread. If it's several years old, it's a zombie thread. And it only takes a minute to look at the user name of who you're responding to, to see if they were banned. It also takes only a minute to check a user's profile to see what their last online status was.
My best advice is, don't go 100 pages back and pull threads forward..lol
