Blue Ladybug, I feel bad that Aldo's family didn't know how he was living. When my late Uncles wife passed away long ago she was living in the house my Dad had lived in as a child. At one time it was a beautiful old house with a parlor and neat old architecture. When my Dad was alive he'd visit my Aunt and Uncle a lot by himself. They were both alcoholics and I know he didn't want us to see that. After my Uncle died his wife got worse and my Dad and another Aunt and Uncle did try to help her. They made sure she was at they very least eating and helping her pay bills. After my Dad died we didn't hear much about how she was. My Mom called sometimes but she was always drunk.

When my Aunt died my brother and I went into her house. My cousin was with us. The house wasn't trashed but she apparently collected newspapers and magazines and they almost filled an entire room. I bawled my eyes out. I felt so horrible for her. She never quit drinking, it was seriously one of the saddest things I had ever seen.


My Cousin that lived close by her really tried to help. She had a home nurse and this woman stoled her jewelry. She didn't have much, but the nurse was crooked. It was so sad. I can't imagine how Aldo's family felt.
 
Well, I for one am back. I don't know when I left, but I was getting agitated and not answering in love. So God told me to take a break.

A long while later, we went camping in the mountains, and I could only get the Internet for a moment or two. So I would download one page of a thread, and read it. Then another later. It was tedious. I could not even get likes to post. Which maybe was what God wanted. So instead, I just read and read books, and I saw some threads I wanted to say some things on, without arguing.

So when I got home, I made a few posts. Then we went camping on a church retreat, no internet again! By then, I was reading more books, and I loved it.

So I am back again! Thanks to everyone who sent me messages welcoming me back. My goal is to post when God moves me, but not be on here all night and day! LOL Greek is starting on Wednesday, so I will be busy with that and a Domestic Violence course I am taking with my ministerial association. And I like reading a lot! Like I always did. As in reading books - theology and some fiction.

So if you didn't miss me, that is just fine. I hope to glorify God, even if I am discussing doctrine. Not here, though! Never on SYM!

No one is airing his dirty laundry. I was simply saying what I learned about him, simply from seeing his belongings. :) And he would agree with my assessment of him, so it's all good. And this is a thread, not a blog. :)

Okay, let's see. I have learned that you are wise beyond your years. You have gone through so much stuff in your short 14 years, than most adults go through in their entire lifetime. But yet, no matter how crappy you might feel, you still try to be cheerful and encourage others. :)

You are more cheerful, compassionate, smart and mature than any other kid I know. You are a bright shining light, in an otherwise dark and dreary world. You are definitely a huge inspiration to everyone here. People read your insightful posts and can't help but smile. :)

You are strong and responsible. It's not easy for a kid to take care of 4 or 5 of their younger siblings. Nor is it easy to go through cancer twice, but you have and you are all the more stronger for it. :)

You are a smart, funny, down to earth kid. You are absolutely one of God's human angels. :o
 
You are also driven, resourceful, creative, artistic, and musical.
You are deep feeling and are not afraid to show your true self.

You are a spiritual warrior.

You are very courageous. You have had so much laid on you that would cause any weaker soul to curl up in a ball, and completely crumple under the weight. I know it has not been easy for you, but you grow in inner strength and emit a greater Light every time you stand back up to face life on life's terms. Your faith in God is a beautiful thing to behold.

I absolutely agree with what you have written. She is very courageous and always encouraging others despite her own pain and hard circumstances.
