That is a good reminder. We may need to use it more frequently here.



But it does puzzle me how a moderately intelligent human being (one who is competent enough to converse in English and use a computer) is so emotionally damaged and/or willfully immature as to derive pleasure from intentionally irritating others.

What is lacking in such a person's life that their greatest enjoyment in life is to act like an idiot in front of others?

What compels such a person to "enjoy" imposing themselves into the activities of others just to make a fool of themselves?

Clearly there are many who are so emotionally disturbed, but I can't help but wonder what kind of person they really are, and whether they were severely abused when growing up and/or if they have some neurological issues that drive them toward such behavior.

I recognize that until they are willing to interact with others on a mature level that there is nothing that can be done to convince them of their antisocial grossly immature behavior.

And I am finally realizing that interacting with them in any way only rewards their self important view of themselves.

But I really am very bewildered about such people. What is going on in their heads?

Is there really nothing better they can do with their lives other than impose themselves into the lives of others and demonstrate how immature and foolish they are?

I really find it very puzzling.

I work with people with Dementia. The similarity between them (the aggressive ones) and trolls is striking.
 
Relating back to yesterday's discussion of master's thesises (thesi?), I would very much like to read research on the psychological profile of "trolls". I'll bet there are a number characteristics they have in common.

I suspect they are emotionally stunted, have moderate to high intelligence, were/are emotionally abused by their peers and family, males in their teens and twenties, often unable to financially support themselves, withdrawn, isolated, spend a lot of time in their own fantasy worlds, and much more.

I would be interested in what drives them and how they might be reached (for the cause of Christ, at least).

If anyone knows of any such research, I would be happy to learn about it.

Very interesting.

I wonder if the research I mentioned could include fMRIs to see if there is brain damage among those who are compelled to demonstrate their immaturity and foolishness in front of complete strangers?

 
I just got back from signing papers with the landlord for my new rent amount. Found a lucky penny on the side of the road.. :)

If you judge the answer is yes, He doesn't have the power, you don't have faith in God and you aren't a believer.

yes i got one of those holier than thou messages from a CC .. ok ill call them a nerd today couldnt handle all the humor from my awesome fasting joke so in the bin it went

"you mustnt broadcast your fasting missy thats considered ( i cant remembered what they said ) prideful as if I would pffft! It WAS A JOKE IF IT WASNT OBVIOUS ALREADY AUCKLAND NEVER SNOWS
