Update: My Grandson is stable. They are SLOWLY injecting him with potassium through an IV. It is a slow and careful process so as to not cause him permanent harm. Takes hours to raise his potassium level to what it should be.

He should be in Hospital for about 24 hours........and, if stable, and Dr. approves, he will get to go home.

My total lung function has dropped to 12 1/2%.
They are only two cures, God, or lung transplant.
They gave me two treatments, steriod shots, have
to take steriods daily for 30 days, starting today,
with 30 today, 29 tomorrow, until I get to 1. If you

I remember my mother going through that. I feel for ya brother.. I know it is painful as well as discouraging, Praying hard for your comfort. and if Gods will a healing.

Do you remember a show called The Wonder Years? It was a show made in the 80's about a kid growing up in the 60's ?
That was roughly about a 20 year gap.

So, my question is, why haven't they made a show about our wonder years? (The early 90's, it was over 20 years ago?)

Never mind.
No one sits and wonders about those years, nor were they wonderful.
Maybe l just thought it'd be cool if l was played by Fred Savage and had a voice over during my troubled teen years...

Thank you for the prayers, the lungs are feeling lighter, been real heavy for about 4 weeks. Coughing up a good bit of mucus, that's a good thing.

When I first joined the forum, I was real sick. I didn't post anything for about 6 weeks.
Then one day, Reborn, welcomed me to the speak thread, feeling a little better, I started
posting. So, just jump in, when you want to make a comment. Someone will respond,
however, the thread is not jumping like it used to.

Grandson is awake and alert............and hungry.......he has to be better!

Still can not move on his own, but Dr. says that will pass before/by morning. They are now administering potassium orally.
