I am sure you never heard of them...but my favorite was little dolls called the Golden Girls...not the tv show lol
Golden Girl was a warrior princess...she would battle vulture woman...or something I cant remember the bad guys names
But wow my Golden Girl doll was so cool

Sigh I miss all them...I had her little light up castle and Unicorn lol

I did have a couple barbies growing up and I did have a lot of fun with them. I would dress them up, brush their hair and I got a hold of scissors and cut their hair. Then......I would literally take them apart, only to put them back together, kind of like Humpty, Dumpty. Lol
 
Of course I learned I should have hid my dolls from mean little cousins....:( my Golden Girl palace with the light got broke and had marker all over it :(...

One of my Ken dolls head would always jiggle lol...but I didnt want to throw him away...so I just used him as 'life of the party Ken' for Id make him dance for the other Barbies because his head jiggled around all the time lol...
 
They usually made Ken dolls with stiff necks..but somehow my grandma bought me a Ken with like a ball in his neck..to get more motion lol
 
A funny thing happened at the beach yesterday........
We knew it might rain.....but there was a 50-50 chance....
So we went with high hopes......later in the day the dark cloud
rolled in and the sky dumped the rain......since we use two big
beach umbrellas ......the children and i decided to huddle and
watch the mad dash......peole running everywhere......since it
only lasted ten minutes......,we just ate our snacks .....wrapped in towels
and found we were the only ones left.......big fun.....beach life rocks....
If there was thunder and or lighting......it would have been very different....
we probably would have been in the middle of the stampede....lol

Jo, that's a cool story. Reminds me of how God wants us to be; not running around like a chicken with its head cut off when there's no reason to run in the first place, but rather trusting Him to keep us safe in the midst of the storm, or even just enjoying things, since in this case there was no danger :).

I suppose there's also the illustration of why it's good to be prepared as well; the beach umbrellas made the rain viewing an awful lot more fun :).
 
LittleBit, I was thinking that instead of posting a cake for you, I'd do some candy instead. However, a perfect solution came up on Bing; a cake covered in candy. Have a good one :)!

Did you have the "Divorce Barbie" ? It's the one that came with all of Ken's accessories :cool:

Who loved the old Cartoon shows? I loved Rugrats!!... Hey Arnold was another favorite... and Doug! ah... blessed memories :)

Never really watched Doug that much, but I did watch the Rug rats and Get Arnold. I loved waking up on Saturday mornings. I know they eventually did a spin off type for the Rug rats. All Grown Up was the name of it I think. It was literally about the Rugrats grown up.
 
1) i was never really into barbie. i had 2 - both gifts from others. my brother did buy me the barbie RV camper vehicle deal for a bday. it was cool. i heard on the radio that Mattel is making changes to barbie to have more variety: skin tones, hair color, etc.

2) happy bday, LB!!!!!!! it's cake day :D
