I think I'm kinda weird, cuz I always starts thinking about how it was back in the 70s, 60s, 50s etc...(yeah, youre right, it aint that weird yet, but it is getting worse...lol) and I just would like to get me a time machine sooooo much for a trip to the past:rolleyes:...strange...yeah...definitely....H.G. Wells....? Where are you...;)?
You wouldn't survive. Remember, no computers, no cell phones, only three TV channels in many places, no A/C in most homes or cars, barely any microwaves, no Netflix, etc., et al.

......they had just invented color.

Breathing air cost just a nickle, and it was uphill to every place.

Sounds like a blast.

Well, I cant recollect no computers, no cell phones, no A/C, no Netflix (what is that, even?) from my childhood (I'm 31)...but I do recall hot'n humid summer nights, battered ol' pick up trucks for transportation (no A/C...lol) and only land lines...hmm...maybe things havent changed as much as I thought...:p

Worse than that! In those earlier years, most cars had hand-crank windows and clunky stick-shifts on the column, rear view mirrors with no shading for headlights behind you, the windshields weren't tinted, and no turn signals. Also, the seats had to be adjusted by holding up on a lever, and then jerking your body to slide the seat while remembering to let go of the lever at the right time so it wouldn't all be a waste when the seat just slid back to the original location.

AND, the bicycles only had one speed.

I prefer that type of car.....That is what I drive now....We even have a car with no AC
Now cars are so electronic and computerized....I prefer the older things...I prefer landline over cellphones

Well, having lived with them, I can tell you that I will NEVER have a column-shift nor hand-crank windows again.

Lol....loved ones skylove is highly confident tonight outdoors, that 'chiggers' love me because they are my friends! Lol

It's not DRIVING without manual gears. Modern manual gears are not "clunky" but smooth shift.

I will be sooo sweet...that if a mosquito bites me...she will weep with guilt!...blah blah blah...Deep Woods Off spray for me! Lol

HMMM Sarah thinks she knows where this is going. :p

This is truly a kangaroo court......

"The Christian you most wish you could be like has probably been . . .

. . . through trials you least likely would want to endure."

Amen to that sister. I wouldn't wish what I've been through on anyone. Never mind another Christian. Still I only wish, and hope to be a better Christian!!!

I don't have the column-shift, but I prefer the hand-crank windows.....I am weird like that :)
Well, you have a point there. It costs us about $250 every time one of our windows goes South. This last time, we just had them lock one of my wife's rear windows in the <UP> position, rather than bother to fix it.
