lol i just found it hilarious that the husband followed her to the adjustment room. most ladies will say "cuz i want company" or something similar. but she surely didn't! lol

it's usually okay if it's treated early enough.

but, yeah, there are folks who are sick for life, especially from back in the day,
because it hadn't really even been recognized yet.
and the symptoms are so flu-like and not everyone gets the EM (bullseye) rash.

and then there are those of us who get the rash, and ignore it like a bruise. :rolleyes:

not the smartest.....bulb.....in the....stack? ;)
 
I know you guys are joking around, so don't worry about that..............but, go back to the first comment about this, reverse the roles..............would any woman here want a man to talk to her like that in a public place? Just saying......... :)

i get what you're saying. melita would have reacted differently if the roles were reversed.
 
My husband wasn't a "yes dear" kind of man AT ALL. Actually, he was a huge biker who didn't know the meaning of "being serious" a lot of the time. If he ever said "yes dear" to me, it would definitely have been in a sarcastic tone. We got along so well because we both had the same off the wall sense of humor. I don't know how I'd feel about a "yes dear" man. LOLOL
 
i joke a lot about my husband, but i wouldn't talk to him like that in private, let alone in public. :(

that had a definite 'mom vibe'...which is weird and maaaybe shouldn't happen in a marriage?

A lady once gave me some of the best advice ever received when I was engaged. She said to train him the first year of our marriage. So I asked her to explain. With that, she said, for example, during that first year when you have dinner, get him to help you set the table. Get him to help you to clear the table and help wash the dishes. Ask him to take out the trash, if he doesn't. The thing is that in this way you're letting him know how you'd like him to help with things on a daily basis. You're setting the ground rules. You don't have to be bossy, just ask nice and keep asking at the appropriate time so he gets into the routine of it all. Guys are pretty good about those things once they understand because they do NOT read minds. Do not assume he's gone know to get you this or that for your birthday. Give him some choices and let him bounce from there. Because...if you play the little happy wife and bring his dinner to him, clear the table or always doing the dishes alone, always taking out the trash, etc. and then you go and change the rules cause you get sick of doing it all by yourself, he's gonna feel you're changing the rules. That confuses them. And if he asks you what you want for your birthday and you answer 'aw, nothing honey" that's just what you might get. Men will see it like they see a ballgame. There are rules. You do that and they do this. And that's the way it's always been done from the start so why is that happy wife no longer happy. Gosh, it was working great for him. Don't beat 'em up cause they don't catch on fast enough. Marriage might be new for them too.

We have a joke about this aspect of marriage. Whenever we do something for the other person, we say, "Don't get use to it." Meaning, this isn't set in granite like a rule just because I'm doing this one thing right now.

I don't have the desire to want to change a man. God created him a certain way and have to learn to tolerate it and only him can want to have that desire to change not from me.

What a humble sweetie pie you are, Melita!! My feathers were getting ruffled 'cuz even though I know p_rehbein was right (I wouldn't want to be talked to like that by my husband), I can see how it was funny. The guy in your office could have responded assertively, "Now dear, I would prefer you not take that tone with me." But he didn't, so it's funny. :D

lol....ahhh the physicians examining room! haha...I love the paper towel gowns...with the 5 pound metal clip to tear it apart! :-) I'm thinking....why? Lol
