Just asking for some prayer for me. I had to get off prednisone to see my rheumatologist yesterday, and I just about died the flares and pain were so bad.
My rheumatologist agreed with me, and put me on 20 mg of prednisone tapering down to 5 mg in a month, and probably looking at long term low dose prednisone use. He is not enthusiastic about the two new meds I am on doing the job. Plus my liver enzymes are starting to go up and up, which will mean coming off Arava, and having no DMARD, which the biologic Orencia needs. Just so you know, these are all low doses of cancer drugs, and you have to take them forever.
So pray the meds will work, and my liver will stop being so oversensitive to everything. I really need that liver! Sigh!
PS. I do feel totally and irrepressibly awesome today! I was able to clear out a lot of my garden on a warm, sunshiny day! But I have lost so much conditioning doing so little the last 10 months. I want to get back to riding my bike and stretching, but I need the Rheumatoid Arthritis to be reasonably under control! Thanks everyone!

So do I as I am having a hard time waiting.... I want my babies home with me hearing the meows and two little fur balls running around the house.....but they have to get better and be fixed before the St. Francis Society will release them from the Foster Home.....

Good morning everyone.
I haven't posted an update on April in a while. So, here goes,
she's been back to the drs for follow ups. Both brain scans
came back clear, Praise God. She has to go in for follow-ups
once a month.
She is doing great, super happy. I got her a full blooded german
shepard puppy. They have bonded real well with each other, you
see one, you see the other. I was hoping they would bond the way
they have. Out here in the country, we have bears, wolves, coyotes,
and gators. I wanted a great dog to protect her, I believe the german
shepard, will do just that. She named him Chewey, cause, he chewed
on her pants all the way home from picking him up. He has had some
training, he'll sit, stay, shake hands, roll over. He was 13 weeks old, when
we picked him up. They kept him for five weeks to do some training and
to have him fixed. His color is black and silver, growing by leaps and
bounds. She loves being out here in the country, she's worry free right
now. Anyway, thought that I'd let all of you know.
As for me, I'm real sick right now, the reason that I'm not posting. If you
would, keep me in your prayers, thank you, Frank
