Well Blond just put the Black & Blue pie in the oven and in hopes it will be good later..... When the official taste tester arrives home from work.... First lattice crust I have ever done....it went well for a first timer....



Mine looks like this only with more blackberries than the blue ones....a heart in the middle...

Cake? well, not so much for me

(personal taste I suppose, however, I do often make cakes for the family to enjoy....weird right?)

good morning all. I marvel at the amazing goodness of our Lord as we travel from NC to TN. Time stands still and issues fade away when His creation sweeps over the hillside. The tops of the mountains smile at His sunrays. Nothing surprises our Lord. Conflict is just that when we refuse to surrender ourselves to His wisdom and power.

I don't know anybody else, but I am really excited as I woke up eager to start the day. My phone started buzzing that I had an email, I soon discovered why. Now, I knew this verse for a while now, but this morning it meant something different to me and it is very hard to explain and extremely personal, but it can be used to describe what happened with our government last Friday legalizing gay marriage.
Psalm 46:1-3
God is our strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters may roar and be troubled, through the mountains shake with its swelling. -Selah

Yes, I will take a pie over a cake any day of the week. JL I am certain that your pie will be delicious and Tourist will enjoy eating it with you;)

Sky, thank you for the concern, but I am feeling excellent today. And the best part is today is the first day I will be on my own as I finished my training last Thursday

Remind me one of these days, and Sue and I will bake you a French Coconut pie. She does the filling, and I do the crust.
