This one here is just here, he's good for nothing, but to crow all day
long. I keep saying that I'm going to ring his neck, but that would be
cruel. He does get along with the cows though. The old rooster, beat
the cows up all the time. He would try to peck their eyes out. He became
a meal for the coyotes.

My house is surrounded by grass seed fields and in the fall we had sheep in it. Well, one of the chickens got out and ran off and followed and chatting away at the sheep. We also had to be careful because she would follow you everywhere, it was priceless

You can learn a lot by watching animals. I enjoy sitting out on the deck in the
morning. We have all types of wildlife, but, I like watching the deer the most.
Yesterday, a mom, with twins had to correct one of them. She stood on her
hind legs, took her front legs, and beat that fawn all upside its head.
We have 2 peacocks, they are a beatiful bird when they spread their tail
feathers. They walk where ever they want to, some nights they don't come
home. They have 2 little ones, now, this is their first brood.

Note to Mom and KIS.......weren't for you two....there was a little more heated steam rising a couple pages back I was just trying to help put a LID ON IT before it went to boiling... Blond really likes this thread and didn't want to see mud flying here so I added my 2 cents worth.... Not that anyone would really listen to me....a Blond but I try hard....lol Carry on loving each other peeps.... Meanwhile it's oh dark thirty and Blond is up again.....it's not unusual.....hummmm sounds like a song...

Goes to show where my mind was this morning, already had a pot of coffee,
just hasn't kicked in yet. The good news here is, it's 76 this morning, 97 for
the high today. Yesterday was 103, with no breeze, so all is good.
