when i was young (hush, Reborn! :p) i was abstemious in drinking alcohol.

nowadays, it's water, and hot water run through ground coffee beans.
oh, and iced tea in summer.
sometimes i get so wild, i put a lemon wedge in it! haha

eh, old age sounds kinda pathetic, doesn't it? :rolleyes:
 
I'll be honest with you. A good, cold beer with any kind of Italian food is one of my greatest pleasures. Unfortunately, as of three years ago, I had to totally stop consuming alcohol. And I still miss having a beer.

i'm told i was a beer snitch when i was a toddler.
(is that why i toddled??)

sorry Willie...a cold beer on a hot day, yeah...sorry you miss it.

I can relate to this. I miss smoking even though it is extremely hazardous to my health. At least I don't constantly dwell on this. I used to enjoy a cold beer too but it has been many years now. Italian food is good.
 
I haven't touch alcohol since I got saved, almost 35 years ago. The nice thing is that I have not missed it. A miracle of God for sure.

I drink loads of water, but I confess I do drink tea, although herbal. And yes, I know it tastes like grass in water!

Kodiak, I think it is admirable you do not drink, as a young man, not just because of the drinking age where you are, but because of all the damage drinking has done to families, injuries in driving, and destroying lives! Drinking to excess is easy to fall into, when everyone else is doing it. Not that it applies to everyone.

I have a lot of joy being filled with the Holy Spirit. I think the false "spirits" of alcohol, fall very short when compared to walking with Jesus.
 
i've never had alcohol. i grew up in a home with no alcohol. and it never interested me as an adult to even try :)

on another note, yesterday, i brought to work pieces of chocolate, and then forget i had them lol so today, i have them on my desk! they shall not escape this time! lol

i don't think you're missing much.
i had three beers one night when i was 17 (bad girl!) and was sick for a day.

since then, not all that interested.
plus, i'm a recovering control freak, and i do not like the out of control feelings of alcohol, and, i'm assuming, drugs?
not saying it's to be proud of, but it is a big reason. :rolleyes:

chocolate, on the other hand............:)
