Remember All,

its nearly Christmas, as I write this I am under attack from the enemy, he has rocked me, and continues his attacks looking for a knock out blow, has me in serious frustration, and recently I was ranting in frustration, to which I try not to do, and I am sure the enemy is thinking he nearly has me, and I do feel off balance.

I remember hearing a story of men in World War II taking Christmas off, and in stead of war, they played soccer together, & enjoyed peace for Christmas Day, wow, very powerful

The enemy will take no such days off, for

"their is no beast so fierce with out a touch of pity, for I have none at all, there for am no beast"
William Shakespeare.

although I do not ascribe this to the evil one, for such comments could leave me in more trouble than I need, yet I speculate

I sometimes wonder who would even want to be a human?, I think I would care not to be a human in this fallen world, yet I am

that said Christmas is nearly here, I hope love will flow thru my heart, I have been trying to bounce back, and have been searching, reading Christian books, reading post here on CC, and hearing about many many Scriptures, which have helped in the short run.

also I heard it said, mind my thoughts, control my thoughts, this I hope will get me thru IN JESUS..

what a ride, I hope you are all doing much better than me in The LORD this day, and I hope to see you all on that Day. I hope all your decisions are in G-DS Great LIGHT, and you are overflowed with HIS LOVE, this Christmas season and beyond

perhaps my wanting good things for you, may help me enjoy the season, & I can tell many of you are very educated on scripture. Just please remember Christians are often in battles and getting beaten up in this world, so please take it from me as I am of broken spirit at this time. be kind, and give support & love. let us not bicker, especially at Christmas time.

that is what the enemy wants I am sure. let us Remember the reason for the season... peace on earth and good will towards men. no fun down here on this planet of the lost, and if your having fun, I pray & hope it is in the LORD JESUS, and if so I hope I can rejoice for you.

for it is no fun being the foolish things of the world, & the chief sinner, to which I am, seems like I am living with constant consequences from my actions

make no mistake, I am very, very blessed, as I can certainly image things could be or get, so, so much worse, quite easily, as I have even heard stories around here.

if it were not for JESUS I would not be alive this day, or I would be certainly down and out, above and beyond all HIS GREAT LOVE FOR me, I can recall a time that HE prevented me from getting hit from a car & who knows the consequences from that, if I would have even survived, & so many other dangers I am sure HE has Delivered me from, and can recall some of them easily as the chief sinner I was doing a deep dive into the abyss, to which I have been delivered.

there was no coming back or returning to the land of the living without G-D Almighty Loving Deliverance.

giving me hope as I remember HIS LOVE & Deliverance

So As I heard it said, I have confidence I will have victory on the path that lay ahead, not because of the lack of dangers that lay ahead, but because of what lyes behind, and the past dangers that I can now recall, JESUS Removed & HE HAS Gotten me Thru, in HIS Great LOVE

in love with& peace

Merry Christmas To all of you, may G-D Bless you, and make you, or keep you filled with warm hearts, & have you strong lights for the whole world to see

if nothing else we must love each other & support each other 1st and foremost, and I have read your kind words here, many times, especially with the newly arrived.

in love & peace

Well no one is forced to celebrate Christmas. It's certainly a good time of year to share the Gospel. How one celebrates it is up to them.

Simple goober search....

Christmas was first officially celebrated on December 25, 336 CE, in Rome. The date was chosen to coincide with pagan winter festivals, such as the Saturnalia and the Sol Invictus celebration, potentially as a way to co-opt and Christianize these popular holidays. Some historians also believe the December 25 date was chosen because it is nine months after the traditional date of Christ's conception, which is celebrated on March 25.

Be still, and search for your freedom in Gods grace, not subjecting yourself to bondage of the letter.
For the commandments, to love God and your neighbor, are the first things to observe, and the forgiveness of sins in Christ is the first thing to acknowledge.
Whatever you do, to Lord you do, and the sprit in you that has His name will soothe all wounds and guide you into all truth, when you seek Him. Look inside you, and see that you've never lost the testimony that you've received. Embrace it as the bottom line truth of the world around you, and look to the world to come.

It is obviously a pagan holiday, Jeremiah refers to this practice, and it dates back to Babylon, December 25th was supposed to be the birth of one of the Bablyonian gods, a precursor of the Antichrist.

December 25th, around the winter solstice, is linked in some traditions to the Babylonian god Tammuz, often portrayed as the son of the goddess Semiramis and a reincarnation of Nimrod, the sun-god, with his "rebirth" celebrated as the sun's return, tying into themes of dying and rising gods like Baal or Sol Invictus, though these ideas often blend different pagan traditions.

Acts 7:43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

They want to claim the star on top of their tree is the star that stood over Bethlehem, but reality is that it is the star of the god Remphan which the New Testament condemns.

3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

The tree is a pagan altar, which is why they put the gifts under the altar to be blessed.

Elves are magical, humanoid beings from Germanic folklore, originally seen as powerful spirits, sometimes causing illness or mischief.

In other words they are Nephelim.

Flying reindeer, Santa, and the elves, this is the worship of magic, the occult.

This is a holiday that teaches children to be materialistic and to lie. How many parents lie to gullible children only for the children to later feel like idiots. What is worse is that kids associate all the Christmas stuff with the Bible believing that stuff about Santa, reindeer, etc is in the Bible and therefore having faith in Jesus Christ is equated with gullible people believing in Santa.

Partaking of this holiday allows Satan to restore old covenants that were broken when you were baptized.

Yule was an ancient Germanic and Norse winter festival, centered on the winter solstice (the shortest day), celebrating the rebirth of the sun, feasting, and honoring gods, which later influenced many Christmas traditions like evergreens, gift-giving, and the Yule log. Modern Pagans and Wiccans still celebrate it as a sabbat marking the longest night and the sun's return, focusing on light, warmth, and seasonal cycles.

Well here's a different POV on this yearly discussion. Maybe Christmas is not so pagan.

Idiocracy 2!

4:27 into the video he says that Christians had already pinpointed December 25th as the day they thought Jesus was born!

How could any idiot teach this? Regardless of what you think about Christmas, how idiotic to actually think that it was the day Jesus was born.

1. Why were the shepherds in the field?

2. Why wasn't the barn filled with animals instead of being available for Joseph and Mary to sleep in.

3. Why would they require everyone in the country to travel at Christmas for the census? You have elderly, babies, pregnant women. You are going to make them criss cross the country during the dead of winter?

No, what we do know for a fact is that the Babylonians had a god named Tammuz that they said was born December 25th and which they worshipped long before Jesus had his earthly ministry.

We also know that the pagans worshipped the birth of the sun on December 25th, again, long before Christianity.

December in Israel is lambing season along with January. The sheep are in the barn, their lambs are born and raised in the barn during the winter, and if they are to be Passover lambs they are wrapped in swaddling clothing to keep them from bruising themselves.

You're running a bit late this year. Usually "CHRISTMAS IS PAGAN!!!" threads start around mid-october.

See now this is what happens when you get too distracted with your economic hollering. You completely forget to take care of holiday hollering on time.

1. Why were the shepherds in the field?

Israel isn't Canada, their winters are fairly mild.

2. Why wasn't the barn filled with animals instead of being available for Joseph and Mary to sleep in.

Have you ever been in a barn? There's plenty of room for people, animals or no animals.

3. Why would they require everyone in the country to travel at Christmas for the census? You have elderly, babies, pregnant women. You are going to make them criss cross the country during the dead of winter?

Again, you're talking like its Michigan, if you have palm trees, you have a pretty mild winter.

No, what we do know for a fact is that the Babylonians had a god named Tammuz that they said was born December 25th and which they worshipped long before Jesus had his earthly ministry.

Actually that is not fact, there is no solid historical evidence for this.

We also know that the pagans worshipped the birth of the sun on December 25th, again, long before Christianity.

A good discussion on that subject. The evidence actually says something different.

Well I Googled it and got this result... "Yes, shepherds historically and currently tend flocks outdoors in winter, especially in the Middle East where it's often milder, with sheep even birthing lambs in winter, so the biblical scene of shepherds watching flocks at night in winter (around Jesus' birth) is plausible"

1 John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Which idols?!
Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

The star people put on top of the tree is in the likeness of things in the heaven above. The angel they hang on the tree is in the likeness of things in heaven above. Reindeer are in likeness of things in earth beneath. People may hang other ornaments on the tree that are in the likeness of various creatures, etc.

Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

At my wife's school everyone is required to wear either red or green on some upcoming day indicating they are on "team Santa" or "team Grinch". This means you are required to serve this holiday. If you claimed to be on team Jesus you would likely get fired, but you can be on team Santa. They are requiring everyone bow down to this idol and serve it. This is one example, but there are many more. The idea that anyone who doesn't celebrate Santa is a "grinch" which by definition is a mean spirited person who spoils the enjoyment of others. Again, slandering anyone who doesn't participate in the idolatry of this pagan worship.

In idolatry you place our gifts on the altar to be blessed, this is why you put your gifts under the tree, it is the altar in this pagan worship.

Who exactly is Santa? Besides being an anagram for Satan, and besides wearing a red suit, and sneaking into people's homes like a thief in the night, and exchanging your divine inheritance for junk from the mall, he is also the head elf. Elves by definition are supernatural creatures with magical powers. Therefore, by definition they are creatures from the Occult.

In this holiday tradition you lie to your children and will continue the lie until they realize they have been lied to by the people they trust. Since religion intertwines Christmas with the story in the Bible children are taught that the Bible lies because they assume the stories about Santa are also in the Bible. Anyone who has preached the gospel to many people has learned this. Many people equate the stories in the Bible with the story about Santa Claus.

You also teach your children to be materialistic. The letter to Santa is their first lesson on prayer and they are taught to pray for things. To be materialistic is to be idolatrous.

1Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

A valiant effort, but alas you are beating a drum in a vacuum. ZNP will not be dissuaded from hollering, and this is one of his favorites to holler about. No way are you going to ruin his fun with mere facts and logic.
