NE Wyoming and Nebraska are quite remote locations. the Northwest corner of Montana is incredibly remote. As for rapid city South Dakota it is right next to the badlands, one of the most remote portions of South Dakota.

It travelled from the NW corner to the border with NE Wyoming. That is over three national forests. I highly doubt that 400+ mile trip was dotted continuously with missile silos.
