And day after day, men and women not of God continue to deceive the hearts of the simple. The simple with itching ears who heap to themselves teachers full of comfortable lies, nonsense and false promises. But this time I am not going to start off by calling out Creflo “man of God but confused and deceived by Kenneth Copeland” Dollar, former false teacher Fred Price Sr., T.D. Fakes, Paula “sleep with married Benny Hinn” White, Dale “put your name on everything to promote yourself Bronner, Peter “sucker you with free spring water packets” Popoff, Juanita “profit-ess with serious mental issues” Bynum nor Joel “Don’t Worry Be Happy” watered down Gospel Osteen. Come on people, stop falling for the show. Well I guess I did call them out.

I would just shake the dust off my feet and move on. The problem with evangelists and evangelical preachers these days is that first of all, most of them are just in it for the status anyway. I know it would be nicer if everyone was converted and the blessings of God's word overflowed from the sanctuaries and out into the streets, but the fact is that you don't need God personally to succeed in this world, and further that in a Christian context, not everyone can be saved anyway, so the social club pastors are really just wasting their time and yours with the sing along, sports, campfire and fambam groups-with-Bibles that they hang out their shingles for in order to make some money.

Real spiritual seekers who think of higher realms in Heaven to win, and lower realms in Hell to shun avoid such one size fits all melting pot morasses of anonymous obligation anyway. My point is that if you have a serious problem like that in your life, to just remember that you don't legally HAVE to go to church anyway. Just ask yourself who those tax collecting NGOs think they are anyway.

You also have the alternative, if you're really such a scholarly genius, of doing your own reading, taking your own notes, cross referencing stray preach offs with books in your local library or bought with your own money, and saying your own prayers. People need to stop cheating off their study buddies' junior guides and adult quarterlies on their non accredited theology quizzes and tests anyway.

I've noticed that psychology is the most popular spiritual belief system on this forum, and the whole archetypal program revolves axially around assuming Bible charades characters from you Mommie and daddies' carpet in the living room and speaking in character as a dramatist for the duration of the meeting, if not the relationship. People pat ten percent tithe dues to psychology based social gospel churches just so they can be amateur actors, and I pity the poor professionals who understand the character development endeavor of that particular literary art form, really practice the thought exercises from the little workbook mimeograph sheets, and then find themselves out in the cold when they get the part under control and find out that everyone else was just socially gaming before the main course from the Preach.

Well people have been made simple. I've seen all the deep edits of the bible with the pseudo logic links from text to text generated by the editors. Unfortunately, none of those people were ever original source writers themselves, they didn't crusade as monks and make the original translations, so their commentaries never have context, or where they do the commentaries are disproportional to real time, since they didn't have any place in that sense, despite the fact that God may speak to anyone He wishes, and that literary inspiration may strike anyone at anytime, anywhere.

Hello Flannery. If you look at 2 Timothy 3 and 2 Timothy 4 I believe you'll see what's new in our day. There are many examples but for one:

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

I believe this scripture is talking about the church, In the Last Days it will be tough to find any church promoting sound doctrine. That is what we see. If you take the example of SSM and LGBTQI it is indeed difficult to find a church or Christian leader publicly presenting anything like a biblical position on this issue. Many are promoting it, others seem to be waffling or keeping quiet, why? Because what the bible says isn't what the itching ears want to hear. Even a decade ago the idea that someone in drag could lead a church service or that the pastor could be married to a person or persons of the same gender would have been preposterous. God Bless

Granted, but Matthew 24 also quotes Jesus as saying, "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be." It will then be at the time of the end as it was at the time of the beginning. In your experience with preaching, do you find reason to believe that a theory of Biblical symmetry accounts for varied teachings about the millennium and rapture thought? I'm fully aware that the flood was at the end of the time of the beginning, there are even still people around in Islam who essentially teach that the flood was the cause of the creation (after the thought of Thales) in literally EXACTLY the same manner that evolutionary cosmologists teach that it was a big bang explosion of fire. What do you find in the more scholarly scripture pulpits?

Just in my experience but I would say that the varied End Times Teachings are a result of differing views on two other doctrines that underpin a person's End Times view. Firstly Israel, God's faithfulness to Israel or replacement theology. Those who believe the church has replaced Israel will interpret many passages relating to Israel differently than those who do not. Secondly Salvation. Eternal security or potential loss of salvation.

That's right about what my experience has been like too. Replacement theology? I don't see why God needs to replace Israel. It's most often said that Israel was formed by the promise specifically so that Christ could Incarnate. He is the unique Messiah, and His country needn't be replaced. Surely, we're all descended from our own tribal elders in the past, salvation is the theological point, but other than that, Israel per se is more another nation from which we can still learn, since it was special for that reason.

Kenneth Copeland is a mighty man of God. He doesn't care if your poor. If you have 2 dimes you should tithe 1 of them. Thats the way out of poverty, He presents the gospel to the poor. And being a christian is all about giving. Get those tithes into the church if you have to put the tithe in an envelope under the door. If you lose your job make sure you tithe of your social security amount.
Crefro dollar mighty man of God supposely has repented of the 10% tithe doctrine. He now says give more. 20%.
