This is a good question. I think you just use your gifting to serve in the place that God has called. It could be ushering, worship, media, Sunday school, missions or wherever.
Paul was single and wrote most of the New Testament. Being single and serving God... no problem.
It is the best life. You answer to no spouse. no responsibilities towards children. Gives you a lot of time to figure out in what way you want to serve the Lord in a Church or by living your life. Setting achievable goals are easier. Then go do what it takes to reach those goals.
