What position does the single person with no family serve in the Church?
AI per google:
There's no single, designated position in the church exclusively for single individuals without families. However, singleness does not disqualify or excuse someone from serving in various church ministries. In fact, single individuals can be valuable assets in numerous roles and contribute significantly to the life of a church.
Not quite true, As a former minister, I am aware that churches would not be comfortable with a single male working with young girls.
I mowed the lawn once at a church I used to go to, but, it was only a fill in for the regular guy who didn't really want to do it. But, since I hadn't been filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues as evidence, I wasn't qualified for such technical duties. That's one of the reason's I asked the question. I thought for sure I'd finally found a way to "serve the Lord". Thank you.
Most churches are run as organizational systems with machine-like characteristics. In these systems there is often a need for those to keep the machine running. A single person can be useful in a number of roles. However, more important than keeping the church machine running are the relationships with other Christians through which one can grow and mature in Christ-likeness which is supposed to be the purpose of church and why so many churches might be seen as failures no mater how efficiently the machinery functions.
You're welcome, although I have no idea why you had to be Spirit-filled to mow the grass
or even why mowing the grass was a technical duty, so you lost me.
The position that person serves in the church is the position that God may want that person to serve. What position does the single person with no family serve in the Church?

Bummer. So, it was the people that didn't like me. : (
The "Ecclesia" or church in the NT as I understand it, is the body of believers, as mentioned, living that we are becoming conformed to the Image of the Son.
When I wake up each day He shows me what I am to do.

That's okay. You don't want to be a part of a church like that.
I bet you most of them fake speaking in tongues. You still belong to God if you don't speak in tongues. That's not a requirement of salvation.
Find a church where Jesus is truly their Lord and Savior - not speaking in tongues.
