I became a Christian in 2004. Before that, I led a homosexual lifestyle. I had a girlfriend at the time who I preached the Gospel to and she also accepted Christ. We cut off our intimate relationship (still have a friendship and are sisters in Christ) as it didn't line up with the Word of God and decided to live celibate lives. Slowly, over the years, The Lord has been changing my heart and allowing me to see men in a different light. I am just here to talk and get to know people. Thanks for reading!
Oh wow you look exactly like a friend I had in high school. You couldn't be her of course since that was almost 40 years ago..

This is gonna be a weird question...
To the guys out there; When you like a girl, do you fall in love with her personality or is it sex based? Do you think about the girl you like during the day? Do you want to know her thoughts? Do you like her as a person or is it just a physical thing? (Not sure if men have these soft feelings as well.)
When you like a girl, do you fall in love with her personality or is it sex based?
When I was younger, it was mostly physical attraction. I've since learned (the hard way) to look past the physical attraction and notice her personality instead.

Do you think about the girl you like during the day? Do you want to know her thoughts?
Yes and yes!

Do you like her as a person or is it just a physical thing? (Not sure if men have these soft feelings as well.)
I have to like her as a person. I will lose interest quickly if there's something about her personality that i don't like. It doesn't matter how physically attractive she is. Of course that wasn't always the case, but I'm glad I'm not so enamored by physical attraction anymore.

This is great! Very encouraging. Thank you so much for sharing! It's so refreshing to know that there are Godly men who seek to love women in a Godly way. This has given me hope. Thank you again!

Thanks. :) But to be honest, I'm not very high up on the godly man scale. Maybe even on the low side.

If by godly man we mean a man who does all the churchy things to look spiritual and enjoys them and can quote not only any Bible passage you want but 3 or 4 commentaries on it, then you might be right.

But if by a godly man we mean someone who consistently shows the same kindness, compassion, and concern for others that Jesus did; I think you're selling yourself short and much higher on the scale than you realize.

Thank you for that, Cinder. ♥

I can only talk from personal experience.. I may be physically attracted to a woman but i don't love her until i get to know them as a person.. I love the person.. It is rare in my life i can count on one had the woman who i have loved to the extent where i could of married them.. Maybe 3 woman.. There have been more that i have loved like a Sister.. A good number of Sisters in Christ i have has sister type love for..

And this may sound strange but i have had a few Daughter type relationships with young girls online.. The most tragic relationship i have ever had was with a girl online... Loved her to the max ( as a daughter ) but it ended badly.. Such is life in this fallen world..

So yeah Physical looks might get you noticed. Which can be an advantage for a woman. But it does not get you loved..

Physically stunning girls often end up attracting users and they get burnt..

That's actually something I've been interested in knowing for many years. And what I've learned from various sources is that in general, men are initially attracted by a woman's outer beauty. Some men are so taken by a woman's physical attractiveness that they become very attached and completely enchanted by her from the start. I've been there many times myself. Not all men are like that of course.

Women on the other hand, again based on various sources that I've gathered over the years, generally are attracted at first by a man's personality. Mainly his level of confidence or sense of humor. Sometimes it's his eyes.

Interesting. See I have the perception that women are more vulnerable and therefor are susceptible to abuse. But I guess it goes for both genders.

Abusive men usually appear very confident and I think that is what initially attracts some women to an abusive man.

As far as men being attracted to abusive women, I've never really looked into that.

You're probably right. Best to have a humble man I guess.

If we knew how people fall in love... would we still be single?

"Wild at heart" by John Eldredge is a good book to learn about men. :) God bless!
