Here is a thought for intelligent discussion:
The one Christian doctrine that doesn’t need to be taken on faith is the sinfulness of humanity. Any comments?
Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Joh 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2Co 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight).
We can see sinful actions so it is not of faith.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
And faith is a positive thing for the saints providing positive things for the saints.
So faith would not apply to sinful behavior for why would you have faith for it.
Oh I have faith that I will sin and have delight in it coming.
But that is not faith coming from the Biblical standpoint of a saint for it only applies to positive and the saints are not to look at sin as something to be desired.
And not faith concerning the people who like to do it because they think they want to do it and do it.
