here's my four-legged family:
1) this is miss mya, who was seriously the best dog EVAR. she was a rescue akita, and was the most amazing pal during a time in my life that i especially needed a playful friend and companion, protection, and most of all, unconditional love.
i miss her every single day.
2) below is the infamous chloe. she is sweet, playful, mildly co-dependent, and extremely sensitive. if i tear up at all for any reason --even laughter, she'll wake up from a dead sleep and be right in my face, seeing what's going on. it's sort of eerie. she also gets prime real estate on my bed, because she is just that adorable.
oh, this picture is a couple years old, when she was a teenager. it's still one of my faves though.
3) this is charlotte, my missouri fox trotter mare. she's very haughty, vain, and loves to put on a good show for a crowd--also she's also extremely good friends with a decrepit old palomino pony named chester.
she also seems to be under the impression that if i don't arrive bearing gifts, i shouldn't even bother showing up. dames!!!
4) and finally, this is max. he's my young gelding, also a missouri fox trotter. he's got a very puppy-dog personality, playful and loves to kick around the big bouncy balls we have in the field. he's also a bit of an escape artist and can open every top loading latch on every gate/door he's been in, oh, and happiest in a field, surrounded by his favorite "girls".
he's also the first thing i hear when i drive up, and is the happiest to see me. : )
I want a morgan horse when I have the time, money, and space.
sounds fun, vk. morgans can be sweet and even-tempered pals. i fell in love with gaited horses when i had a tennesee walker as a teen, and i've never looked back since.
once i rode a gaited horse--the rest seemed like a poor substitute. but that's me. before you get your morgan, i encourage you to compare. especially if you plan to ride a lot.
oh, and you'll never have enough time or money. i board my horses, and barter for their fees by teaching horsemanship classes and lessons. otherwise, it'd too expensive for me to justify, honestly.
i grew up with horses and rode for years as a kid/early adult, and then had to abandon it while i moved all over the place and had no time for such pursuits. it's been a return to a former love, and that has been fun, but also enlightening.
i'm kicking around the notion of selling charlotte, only because i (mostly) bought her to breed, and have had a change of heart. she's also a second horse to make sure gets adequate exercise and attention. i do loan her out to the owner of the stable for adult lessons since she's got a good english background suitable for lessons. as much as i adore charlotte, i'm a bit overwhelmed with the dual responsibility right now.
max is sort of the horse that i can let anyone ride without worries. he's also the one i have much more time/training invested in, and is sort of a dream to ride and goof off with. i sometimes take him swimming when the weather is conducive, and could probably fire a cannon from his back without him doing anything more than looking sideways to see what was up--a "bulletproof horse" is what we call that. and i'm sort of partial to geldings, anyway, because of their temperaments.
so, when you get around to thinking of buying your horse, if you want any help, don't hesitate to PM me.

I'll take you up on that. I fell in love with Morgan's the first time I saw one. Before I buy one, I'm planning on learning to ride first. Think that might be more important.
Especially as I've heard that some horses, you need a little bit of experience with riding first. I've lived in TX all my life, and a good portion of that in the farm/ranch town/cities, but never got a chance to learn.

Piper especially is quite the cuddler, but they're both super affectionate.

i'm not really a "cat person" per se, but i wouldn't mind kidnapping them for a long time, er weekend. : D

Speaking of kitties, this is my cat Pretty:
I adopted her as she was recovering from eye removal surgery, she was dropped off at the shelter with one eye badly damaged. That was 3 years ago, she loves to play fetch, hide-and-seek, chase lasers or feathers, and singing loudly when it's feeding time.
The only outfit I ever bought for her was a pirate outfit, but then I found out that she does not like to play dress-up

Yes, had to spray and h ing, because I forgot to put Advantage on them in December. I haven't forgotten again. Advantage from the Vet is good. The Advantage at Wal-Mart- isn't as good. It doesn't have the same ingredients that the stuff at the Vet does because they aren't licensed to sell that strength. Flea combs work well too.
How did you know that you had them? And are your cats indoor and outdoor cats?
