Remember how God kept the Hebrews safe in the land of Goshen while He punished the Egyptians with the plagues? God will do that for His people too in the great tribulation. God won't take them out, but they will be protected from God's wrath.

Interesting if that is true where does it say that in scripture? I am sure that if it is true then it would be in scripture right? I am not saying you are right or wrong but asking where does the bible teach that?

Because it's noisy, ie, not secret. How could a noisy rapture happen before the trib? It completely violates the pre-trib teaching
That being based on the idea that the rapture will be secret but it will not be secret. however as for the timing of it that is what I am asking not whether it will be secret or not and this verse says nothing about the timing only that it will not be secret

That's been debated to death. Go look up the old threads.

so you're accepting no new edifying discussion on it but are willing to talk crap, lol! That's rich! Too much effort for you to engage the brain?

Do you het headaches from reading the bible? I bet you do. lol.

A pre-trib resurrection makes no sense because there will be no believers on earth to go through tribulation. Therefore, it has to be after the trib

What I don't get is that they wanted scripture from me and I provided it but when I ask for the same they just brush it off as if it is to much of a hassle

I am willing to change my understanding but only if scripture teaches it

The world won't know of Christ's return until the trumpets sound and the dead arise. It comes unexpectedly, not secretly. By the time they realize it, it will be too late

so then what happens? We go up and meet Jesus in the air...and then come right back down again to set up the Millennial reign of Jesus?

It could be after it or it could be just before the wrath of God comes and we are not appointed to wrath and the bible even says that we should not be in darkness that this day should take us by surprise but it never says we will face the wrath of God and be protected

That's the pattern they always stick to. They wont answer questions or discuss specific scriptures. (Post Trib believers). In no way can they defend the position of a post trib rapture because it creates contradictions. A lot of them. They wont even discuss those!

Yeah, that's the way I see it, but I think the resurrected and translated remain above the earth for 9 or 10 days as the bowls of wrath are poured out. Then all return to earth on the day of atonement.

A friend of mine sent me this and honestly if the post trib belief is to be true I believe this is evidence of it
The most obvious text is the Olivet Discourse. This passage right here. Speaking both to and about the Jews who will be alive when this time comes, Jesus said:

20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened. 23 Then if anyone says to you... 'Look, He is in the desert!' do not go out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24:20-23, 26-31)

Now was that so hard?

Yes it's very hard to use that passage because in Matthew 24 Jesus is responding to 3 questions and it's difficult to discern which answers pertain to the end of the age of Judah and which pertain to the end of the age of the nations (ie, his return).

Well this is a difficult subject so it requires a difficult answer and if we are truly seeking the truth then we need to be able to try to understand difficult passages\

From what I can tell this passage speaks about the Jews in the great tribulation but it is still interesting to note that it also refers to the coming of Christ and the way it is worded it speaks of him coming after the tribulation but the question now is was he talking about his second and final coming or the rapture?

But us pretribbers are weak escapists.
Amen. That's the way God Wants me to be humble, when I am weak:

"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in [ critics' ] reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions,
in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." (2 Corinthians 12:10 AV)

But it's not really an important subject at all, unless someone is seduced to think that they will escape tribulation.

Have you read the whole Bible??? How can you not know this or where it is in scripture??? This is pretty easy to look up yourself.

I think it is an important subject for the sake of learning the truth, I used to be a pretrib rapture believer and had I not learned to change my understanding imagine my reaction when the tribulation actually begins and I was not taken?

Many people read these posts of ours and some may come to learn the truth by reading them
