First of all: KNOW that your Heavenly Father Loves "YOU"! No Matter what! Jesus has ALREADY paid the Price of ALL Sin. Our salvation is a GIFT, we cant earn it, And there is NOTHING that We can Do to make Him Stop loving Us. Because of Jesus Sacrifice: GOD doesnt see Our sin Anymore, He sees the Face of The ONE who paid the 'Price' for Our souls.

those scars won't just fade away and God's presence helps so much more than pain.
I used to sing when tempted to do so, maybe that works for you as well?

I'm no psychologist, but I think I can relate.

Kayleigh, many people have been depressed in life. I have been there too. I have thought about self harm. But I have never done it. I have been to the point where I have held a knife at my wrist and seriously thought about it. But I have been able to stop myself. At one point, a friend had to stop me. I then repaid the favour by doing the same for them.

I have helped people stop committing self harm. A girl a few years ago was cutting her wrist because people were bullying her. I spoke to her a lot and she eventually stopped. A girl recently stopped cutting when we spoke to each other after two years without contact. A CC member went into hospital a few weeks ago after actually attempting to kill herself. She has asked me if the thoughts will ever go away. They will. In time. I have tried to keep her from committing self harm by inviting her into group conversations on Skype.

I can help you with the depression if you want. You can pray to God for help and guidance, but you can also receive help other people. Even if you choose to trust in God alone, many people are here for you, willing to help you.

Talking about songs, you can try Strong Enough by Matthew West. A friend also recommended the Christian band Casting Crowns. I'd personally recommend Casting Crowns's song East to West.
