I went with a feather theme, given all the feathers in these flapper head-dresses and corsages
It brought to mind a saying by Hildegard von Bingen, about being a feather on the breath of God.

I am creating this thread to display some of my digital designs.
Many of them are inspired in part by posts and threads that you have made.
All of them are expressions of love for God and His holy living eternal Word,
driven by a desire to share the love that He has so freely poured out upon my life.
This is the most recent one I have designed. It is a Christmas card for all of you
This one was suggested by @calibob, whom I have been collaborating with
in the design of other templates as well. You may have noticed his siggy
I will be putting a little gecko on any templates that Bob has had a hand
in helping me design through his invaluable attention to detail, feedback,
and critical analysis. It helps that he loves my workI hope y'all do, too
I so love scriptural truth portrayed in art form! I go to a textile group (when we meet - at present it is online). I see ideas that come to me often in picture form or how I might sew it. Art can touch the heart in ways that words may not. I have a dear friend, a christian lady, who is very sad and going through a divorce right now - she is also a gifted artist and has a similar style to yours - I am sure she would love it. Maybe I can invite her to join up! Happy designing! x

Me too, I used to put text on photos I took on an old laptop with different software. Maybe there are some tutorials on youtube? You seem to have a desire to be creative ... I'm sure it would be very healing and helpful during this time of pandemic and lockdown ... perhaps there are some free courses out there online. Let me know if you find any - I might have a look too! God bless x

I do regular art for sure - I only have a chrome book and doing anything creative on it has proven a real pain...
But recently I have been truly inspired in some ways
Making cards and little things to pass the time - but I am also getting stir crazy sitting at home for two months now... Today I have watched netflix and played a coloring game on my phone all day x.x

Yeah, I guess most of us have those days when you just have to stop and do whatever it takes to get through the day or do nothing; sometimes all I felt like doing was to get up, feed myself and sit with the Lord; I felt too restless to do anything really constructive or productive. Some days I would just go out for a walk just to the end of the road to get some air, light or to stretch my legs and alleviate my feelings. Someone gave me a bag of knitting wool right before the lockdown here in mid-March. Now I have not knitted anything for years and years but I found a very easy basic pattern in a book I had for a jumper and it has been quite a good activity to have at this time: just to sit on my balcony or at the door, enjoy the sun and just knit and maybe chat to the Lord at the same time or pray for someone and a goal to achieve, to look forward to when "all this is over", hopefully in a few months' time. I began to feel "stir-crazy" weekend before last, like I was starting to "lose it" emotionally and felt tearful all the time, but since then God has done something amazing which I will try and post in the Testimony thread soon. When it all got too much, the Lord stepped in..... I'll pray for you today. Are you living on your own like me? And can you get outdoors if it's only just for a short walk down the end of the street? Vitamin D is good when you are at home much of the time and not getting much sun. I've also got some card-making stuff ready for when I have time or feel like it. X

That would be wonderful if your friend could join us here, and I would love to see her work, also... I am sorry to hear she is going through such a sad/difficult time right now. I have found that being immersed in the creative process helps me transcend anything that may be weighing heavily on my heart. I also saw a post you made asking about a forum for sharing creative endeavors, and would like to suggest that you simply start a thread to show your work and/or have others show theirs, or contribute to some of the ones that are already in existence for that purpose. There have been at least a couple recently Here is one. I tried to find another one I know was fairly recent but, oh! I found it Here

I am glad you like it I discovered after making that panel that having moving elements can be very distracting and therefore not as conducive to carrying the Scripture message the panel is intended to convey. For that reason I have not posted any others that I animated (there were a few).
