Don't get baited into vain discussions, brother.

I feel i need to respond because babes in Christ might read an allegation against me and if i do not respond they may get the idea that the accusation is true.. And disregard anything i say from then on..

so it was faith PLUS baptism that saved you? It's faith PLUS whatever Jesus commands. Faith unto itself does not save. (James 2:27, John 14:15, John 8:31 & countless more)

Ok so the thief on the cross is in hell because he wasnt dipped in the magic saving baptismal water. Are the sons of Aaron in hell because they did not use the "magical fire" commanded by the Lord? Do not mock the commands of God.
If you go to heaven and you try to add ANYTHING to the accomplished work on the cross you are going to hell. Nowhere in the Bible does it teach Faith PLUS anything but repentance, and repentence is a prerequisite to faith. You can't get to saving faith without it. Good luck to you bringing your filthy rags and strewing them all over the cross in front of God.

Handle Eph 2:8,9

What in the verbiage of the verse demands "alone"?

Where is the definitive qualifier in this verse?

Why is "alone" not in the verbiage?

Your forcing "alone" into the verse is in conflict with basic hermeneutics. (Inference without cause)

This is the deck of card that faith alone regeneration theology is based on.

Can you not produce at least one verse that states "alone" since it is the core tenet of your theology?
Universalism is the Belief that all people will be saved.. I do not believe that all people will be saved therefore i am not believe in Universalism.. I believe one must believe Jesus and trust 100% in the atonement of the LORD Jesus for the forgiveness of sin.. Do not be a false accuser of the brethren..

Yes people must have faith in what Jesus did for us... But still it is what Jesus did for us that saves us.. Our slavation is not based on our works... Oh and according to the Bible Faith is not a Work.. Look it up some time..

Oh and i am not a calvanist either..
This is what you wrote:

"Yes.. When salvation is concerned we are saved by what Jesus did for us.. Not for what we may or may not do.. "

"Regardless of what we do or may not do" is a definitive phrase, it is all encompassing. This is basic grammar. What you are implying is that Jesus will save us....period. You made no attempt to qualify your assertion that we will not all be saved by this tenet alone.

"Yes people must have faith in what Jesus did for us" "people must"....now you are talking out of both sides of your mouth. Which one is it? Must we do something or does it not matter?

Oh and according to the Bible Faith is not a Work.. Look it up some time.. I looked it up.

John 6:28–29 — The New International Version (NIV)
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

Oh and according to the Bible baptism is not a work. Look it up some time..

This is your response???

According to the one who was given the keys of the kingdom, everyone who has faith in Jesus must repent, AND be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of sin, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost as well. (Acts 2:38, 10:43-48...)
Jesus words parallel that message: Go and preach the gospel, he who believes and is baptized shall be saved. (Mark 16:15-16)

I think Peter and Jesus have a better understanding of the issue then any of us here.

We are baptized by the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation when you trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior. (Matt. 3:11; Mk 1:8; Lk 3:16; Jn 1:33).

It is baptism in the Holy Spirit that gives us eternal life when we believe in Jesus Christ. Immersion in physical water may clean the flesh, but it can do nothing for our souls. Water baptism is merely the answer (or pledge) of a good conscience toward God, symbolizing with water what God has already done with His Spirit.

The vast majority of Scriptures say the way to heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ, with no mention of baptism. our beliefs and theology must be based on proper interpretation of the totality of Scripture, not on unclear passages or verses taken out of context.

Paul's question to the Ephesians acknowledges that receiving the Holy Spirit does not automatically occur upon belief in the gospel message. (Acts 19:1) The account indicates the Ephesians heard the message and were rebaptized (water) in Jesus name. Afterward Paul laid hands on the group and that is when they received the Holy Spirit. (Acts 19:1-7)

Also see Acts 8:12-18. The Samaritans did not receive the Holy Spirit until days after believing the gospel message and submitting to water baptism in the name of Jesus.

"NOT OF WORKS", of course.

If "Faith" saves and "Works" don't, what else IS THERE to add to "Faith" in your private interpretation???

Right... the verse says, "by faith" and then "not of works". But still there are those that try to shoe-horn works back into it, because the word "alone" isn't specifically used... I don't get it?

Shoe horns are rarely used these days. Perhaps they are merely repurposing.

Another poster who has NO clue what James meant by that. Read and study. Soak it in.
https://bible-truth.org/James2-24.html

How in the world did you come to the conclusion that I have no clue what it is meant by the passage from James when I did not even explain what it meant, but simply wrote a passage from James? Snippy response uncalled for. Heed your own counsel and apply it to yourself.

James 2:18-20
But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead.

It's also interesting that the word salvation is not mentioned.

"OBEDIENCE", of course.

If "Faith" demands obedience and not "Works" what else IS THERE to subtract from Obedient faith in your private interpretation???
