Agreed. I'm not saying that one cannot come back to the Lord, just like the prodigal son and King David. But if someone remains in their state of willful sin, he/she is lost, undone and on the road to hell.Prodigal Son....

No, if someone knowingly sins, the Holy Spirit departs. It's time to repent with godly sorrow. His presence may become imperceptible but His person is always with you.
You keep saying that but then insert the word "water" when/where it is not in the text...Can't the verses just mean what they are saying?
Of course not...Daniel 4:35.
I think your understanding of God is far to small. Think about an infinite mind and what it can do alongside infinite power. We are playing checkers and God is playing infinite level chess.
"If works saved"If works saved, then faith would not be required, since it would no longer be faith but works. I think Paul said something along those lines.
Then faith alone folks get accused of believing OSAS so they can sin all they want."If works saved" I totally agree.
But the issue seems to be that many here are accusing others of believing such things.
Repentance is super but it doesn't restore relationship. Relationship cannot be lost. You cannot stop being the temple of God. Repentance restores the relationship to its proper order. No, if someone knowingly sins, the Holy Spirit departs. It's time to repent with godly sorrow.
If you tell someone you will be taking a bath, do you insert the word "water"?You keep saying that but then insert the word "water" when/where it is not in the text...
Correct, and such a person overcomes. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. If a so-called saved person is doing any of these things, they are not overcomers and will not inherit eternal life.1 John 5:5...Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Please show others doing so."If works saved"
I totally agree.
But the issue seems to be that many here are accusing others of believing such things.
If a so-called person makes it their habit to do those things they aren't saved. The God who saves also preserves.Correct, and such a person overcomes. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. There seems to be no happy medium...
However if you say, you must be water baptized to obtain salvation,
that is adding the work of human hands to God's work of salvation.
OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Obedience-not-required based salvation is heresy, plain and simple.
Adam and Eve lost relationship, and so did Satan when iniquity was found in them. Nor will God spare a sinning Christian.Repentance is super but it doesn't restore relationship. Relationship cannot be lost. You cannot stop being the temple of God. Repentance restores the relationship to its proper order.
I read the same one sentence comment and did not read anything like that into it.Are you saying every time you sin Jesus has lost you?
Mike drop.Adam and Eve lost relationship, and so did Satan when iniquity was found in them. Nor will God spare a sinning Christian.
Adam had a covenant of works...don't eat. He did and suffered the consequences. We have a far superior covenant in grace. BTW, it's the same covenant Adam ended up under. God exercised grace, went to where Adam was hiding, and provided the necessary blood to restore him unto Himself. All God's actions. Adam was hiding. Now that's grace. What an awesome God.Adam and Eve lost relationship, and so did Satan when iniquity was found in them. Nor will God spare a sinning Christian.
Here's the text:Prodigal Son....
I am not inserting anything. I do notice however that you refuse to admitIf you tell someone you will be taking a bath, do you insert the word "water"?
Be honest.
So when Paul was told to arise and be baptized (Acts 22:16) what are you inserting?
There you go again, adding words to the text that are simply not there."However if you say, you must be water baptized to obtain salvation,"
I did not say it Jesus did. Here is the text:
"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. "
Grace does not allow for sin, in this world nor in Heaven. Christians who knowingly sin will not inherit eternal life.Adam had a covenant of works...don't eat. He did and suffered the consequences. We have a far superior covenant in grace. BTW, it's the same covenant Adam ended up under.
