Really amazing to know you've been demonised and delivered!

That's for sure!
I'm happy for our Karen.

I was thinking about a man this afternoon who was being attacked by demons, lucid nightmares, and even voices.

I prayed that I would have an opportunity to lead him to Christ .
Miraculously, the Lord brought us together within a couple of days, unexpectedly in front of the store. We sat on the bench and opened the Bible. Not only was he delivered from those awful spirits, but he got saved!

How many spirits were there? What's their names?

The man was not manifesting at the time. He described the frequent episodes and was afraid to sleep.

The only Name I told him about was Jesus. I will post the same basic thing that I shared with him and someone recently here:

When someone gets saved, they have a new Spirit in them, the Holy Spirit. I have never met anyone possessed after I lead them to Christ.

While in the Airforce I had a demon appear to me as a woman. I called on Jesus to boot her off the base into the:

2 Peter 2:4: "For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell [Tartarus] and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness, to be kept until the judgment".

Luke 8:31: The demons begged Jesus "not to command them to depart into the abyss"

You mentioned about deliverance:

Sorry I wasn't clear.
If the demons/devils manifested, I would need to cast them out.
According to the man, there were an unknown number of them.
They spoke to him audibly in his mind. A psychiatrist would call in psychosis and make him take heavy duty dangerous drugs.
Doubtless certain things can cause hallucinations, but those who are in major prison and psychiatric hospitals have described many reasons they know these are other beings that took over the patients.

Since the spirits were not interfering when I spoke to him, I simply told the man how to be saved as I think I posted the link above. It will be blue highlighted.
As soon as I led him in prayer to trust the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior, he had no more night terrors, voices or hauntings.

The one thing that happened since, was that he started smoking dope again. When he was sober, he started getting pounding on the walls and doors of his home. He'd open the doors and nobody was visibly there. I think his pot smoking attracted demons back into his life, however they never I dwelt him since.
Why?
His body is now the temple of the Holy Spirit.
He's been warned about that and encouraged to get into a good assembly.

How can that man be saved without deliverance?

If the spirits are indeed in the person at the time and block the victim's consciousness, I'd have to engage in spiritual warfare. However, the Lord answered every single request to keep him free of any and all distractions. When I met him it was in a perfect location and we both had time. He was in his right mind.

How to War Against Astral Projection & Travelers of the Enemy in Jesus Christ's Name 11-13-25
I have watched part of this.

What I notice is how far this departs from anything taught in the Bible. Where does one get the 'revelation' that the silver cord is something that can connect an astral projector to one's body?

And why must we think that if a believer 'spirit travels' that his spirit left his body? Can't people just have visions, and be 'in the spirit.' James says 'For as the body without the spirit is dead...' If John were alive when he was in the spirit on the Lord's day, couldn't his trip to heaven have been a 'vision.' And couldn't astral projectors doing occult stuff just be having demonic visions?

Some of this stuff she is talking about reminds me of Rebecca Brown books, where, if the story is as told (and PFO challenged that), then the author was interviewing a witch about her occult experiences, slapping Bible verses on them, and interpreting the Bible through what the occultist witch told her about the spirit-realm.

Is there any reason from the Bible for us to think that occultists get power from the sun, moon, or stars? Even if _some_ occultists think that, why would that have to be the case? Why should we believe that each of us has our own star?

Btw, if you hear noises in your house, couldn't it also be mice or wind instead of demons?

I'd much rather stick with what the Bible teaches. Is she claiming any kind of actual source for any of this stuff she is talking about? Rebecca Brown's was the experiences of an alleged witch and out-of-context use of scripture. What is her source for all this? I admit, I watched part of the video. If someone watched the whole thing and could share that, I would appreciate it.

We have a thread on "Satan's demons keep attacking me, why?"

I do not have that problem and have not had it for over 50 years. But I do remember when I was first saved I did have it. I remember prior to being baptized I had other issues as well. I had temporary blindness, temporary paralysis, etc. I had no idea what caused those things. I remember recurring nightmares until the night I cried Jesus is Lord in my sleep. Since that time I have not had another nightmare for over 50 years.

I learned that being in Jesus as a strong tower and calling on the name of the Lord Jesus was a salvation.

Since that time there have been a few attacks from occultists, but it always blew up in their own face. So for all this time I have not paid any attention to this stuff.

But there are other believers and new believers and believers in Christianity that are clueless and they are suffering.

I always couldn't understand the book of Job. What is God teaching Job? Finally it clicked, Job's spiritual life was great on defense but had no offense. In other words we have the authority to take it to Satan, take it to the demons, take it to the prophets of Baal.

So instead of getting into the details of silver cords, if you are not having any problems on defense, then how about your offense. What is your prayer life like? This is simply a question to ask yourself, I am not interested in a discussion about it.

When I was in high school I played goalie on the hockey team. That position is 100% defense. You have to stop every shot taken against you. But then the high school had a street hockey competition for the entire school. I thought forget it, I'm not playing goalie, I want to hit someone. So we get into this game against a team who had the two biggest kids in the school (they played the two offensive tackles for the football team). Our entire team was terrified of them, and their team was also afraid. So everyone gathered around our net while I battled those two in their end. I knew both of them very well, one kid lived a block from me and the other played left tackle while I had played left guard. I had a blast, we played the entire game in their end with me checking them into the boards and taking a whole bunch of shots on goal.

To me that is what I am reminded of when I hear her sharing about her prayer life. I feel like I am unchained and go off on offence attacking the enemy for all I am worth. If those two big guys are not terrorizing you, what about the others in the church, your gospel contacts, etc?

@ZNP I don't see how one can get the idea from the book of Job that the lesson is to go on the offensive against Satan. The men are talking about God, sin, and suffering. At the end, God's answer to Job is about God's power, not Satan.

My concerns about tge video are about whether her theories about the occult are true. What is the source for them? Dud demons who lie teach occultists any of this stuff?

I don't know. What I do know is I focus on praying the word of God. I know that if we pray according to the will of God then that is how we are instructed to pray and the word of God is the will of God.

You are questioning me about a link I posted, I am not an expert on what she shared.

However, I also know there are prayer warriors that I would like to learn from, Olukoya appears to be one of them. She references him and I have learned a lot from him as well.

@ZNP I don't see how one can get the idea from the book of Job that the lesson is to go on the offensive against Satan. The men are talking about God, sin, and suffering. At the end, God's answer to Job is about God's power, not Satan.

The book of Job begins with Job praying for his family in the event they have sinned. God then boasts to Satan about how spiritual Job is and asks Satan if he has considered God's servant Job. Satan tells God that he can't touch Job because God has put a hedge of protection around him. God responds by giving permission to attack Job.

Now there are two ways to understand this, one is that God wants to train Job and sees that he is ready for this training. You can compare what Job goes through as being similar to what a Navy Seal must go through to become a Navy Seal. Then when the training is over Job gets the revelation that he has been made in the image and likeness of God. Do you have a voice like God? No. But why not, you have been made in the image and likeness of God, doesn't that mean you would have a voice like God? Do you have an arm like God? No. Again, why not, what does it mean to be made in the image and likeness of God?

Now why does God ask him this? Because if he did have a voice like God and an arm like God he would have fought back. Instead of being beaten up by Satan he would have mopped the floor with Satan.

There is another way to understand this as well, however, that also results in the same conclusion. In this way we see that Job is trying to expand his prayer life, not just praying for himself but others. But he doesn't know how, just as a beginner to boxing doesn't understand how to fight but needs to be trained.

All that complaining that Job went through during this process, God asks him "where were you when I laid the foundation of the Earth, go ahead, instruct me". The point is that the book of Job is God laying the foundation for Job and all of Job's complaining indicates that he knows better than God, so God says, go ahead, if you find fault with how I trained you, then instruct me.

Now consider Peter, he denied the Lord and he has the ministry to help backsliders. James was a cult leader and his book has the ministry on how to deliver someone from a cult.

Matthew was a tax collector, considered a traitor by the Jews and he has the gospel to the Jews who were traitors to the Messiah.

John was mending the nets when he got saved and his ministry was mending the damage done to the New Testament ministry by the gnostics.

Jude was the brother of Jesus, he grew up seeing every single attack thrown his way and he gives us the definitive guide to false teachers.

Paul tells us with what comfort we have been comforted with by the Holy Spirit we can share the same with others who are going through the same trials. Gang leaders who get saved have the gospel to other gang leaders.

Therefore people who were in witchcraft or suffered from attacks from witchcraft and were saved out of that will have the ministry to help others be delivered from that.

I never understood why I had temporary paralysis and temporary blindness as a kid, now I do. I never understood where my nightmares came from as a college freshman, now I do.
