Why is it that you can not answer a simple question?
whether I am going to use it or not I have to be able to demonstrate form scripture. But the issue here is not what I will do in the future it is what does the texts say.
Do they say God blessed and sanctified a day or do they not?

I would not worry to much about graceNpeace. He is forcing His eyes closed to the Word of God. It does not matter how much of God's Word you share with Him. He cannot see it because he has closed his own eyes. He does not reject you but God's Word.
I see what you are saying; we have the same teacher (Heb 8:10-12). God's Sabbath was made and originated in Gen 2:1-3 before sin entered into the World. It was made for sinless mankind before the fall because he was in harmony with God and walked with God (Mark 2:27) It is clear from God's Word that Jesus is the maker of the Sabbath and Lord of the Sabbath that we worship and it is a sign that we are His people and worship the only true God of creation (Mark 2:28; Exe 20:12).
The reason why there is no commandment in Gen 2:1-3 is very simple. It is because the Sabbath was made for sinless man and sinless man is in harmony with God's Laws (written on the heart) so no commandment is required. God's foever Law (10 commandments) was only given after the fall (sin) of mankind because we are not in harmony with God's character. Fallen mankind forgot God's Sabbath and He wanted to give it back to His people that he was saving from sin. Without the Law is no knowledge of sin to fallen man and this is why God gave us his 10 commandments because they reveal to fallen man (us) the character of God.
Keep sharing God's Word, as others want to hear the Word of God even if some do not.

Ultimately you would not be pushing this ridiculous doctrine apart from having to justify the ridiculous ramblings of Ellen White.
Here is a good example of what happens when someone rejects the Word of God. Instead of sharing the Word. The stone throwing starts and the messenger is attacked instead of the message because they cant attack the message

Except, specifically in gotime's case he has to defend the writings of Ellen White as co-authoritative with the Bible.
As for you, I think you are also SDA but you seem reluctant to clarify...
Any SDA has a problem because they have to justify Ellen White - mark of the beast, Sabbath observance - the two go together.
For those who read these posts, whether I am right or not, take note at how people reply, ask yourself do they address what is being said or rather what they think it is leading to. and then ask yourself why it is that they will not address what is plainly said in scripture but keep accusing and redirecting the conversation away from what is being spoken about. food for thought.
Please those who read take note that I have not once used Ellen White to suggest or prove anything. go over my posts and you will see this is true. Take note that constantly they do not address what is said but distract with unsubstantiated claims.

That is clearly false and it is on that basis that I respond.
I am not here to justify anyone's false teaching.
I wish I could get into their heads and see how they actually validate their position. how is it that they ignore texts and refuse to address them. If your doctrine is biblical you should not have to ignore any text of scripture. And answering a simple question that only asks you to say what the text is saying should not be hard for anyone. One has to wonder if deep down they don't because they know it poses problems for their position that they can not answer. I don't know if I am right on that or not, but that is what I am thinking.
Only God knows my friend he tells us that he is the light of the world but men loves darkness rather then light because their deeds (sin) were evil. In other places Jesus talks of those that do not want to know God's truth because they no not know God, they are of the world and they are of the world. These same people follow the teachings of men over the Word of God.
Jesus also says...Well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draws nigh unto me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. In vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (Matt 15:7-9)
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear." (Matt 13:16)

Well my post is not the whole thread. And while I do agree that the Sabbath is a gift for all Christians.
I am only addressing what Gen 2 says and you know what it says. My interest is in why you don't want to say it.
If it does not support my position then there is nothing wrong with admitting what it says.
If it does support my position then I can see why you won't answer.
Its not like I am asking you for an opinion, Just what does the text say.
But we both know what it says. It says most clearly that God blessed and sanctified the 7th day. Just as I said and you can not refute it. Or if you can then by all means show us all how I have misread the texts in Gen 2.
The problem is always the same, When it comes down to it none will actually address the texts. They just jump here and there and everywhere and if you try to address the texts they use they continue to jump or rather give their own interpretation. But none just acknowledge what the text says.
