Oh, king of Meshech, oh king of Meshech; can you form the Kingdom of the North? Five kings of the North, five kings of the South. The current world is too fractured, but they must coalesce one day into two kingdoms the kingdom of North and the kingdom of South and these two kingdoms at war with each other will be united by lies and be one kingdom that is but also is not. Two feet, ten toes, made of part iron and part clay, one strong and one weak, and the two do not cleave together. Oh, king of Meshech, oh king of Meshech; can you reunite your tribe into one kingdom among five? Be mindful oh king of Meshech that three kings will be cast down by the little horn.
I'm not going to try to guess the exact nation, as I believe these things are too far off to pinpoint precisely. The specific answer might be in Biblical prophecy somewhere, though I'm not familiar with it at present. I'm more interested in the things that apply to my own times.
I think you are possibly correct about how Russia will fall. Daniel 7 lists the four final superpowers before the end of history. Revelation talks about the Whore riding the beast, but the beast turning and burning her with fire and devouring her. Put these together, and I think we come to the reasonable conclusion that the coalition of eastern powers - headed by Russia - which destroys the United States will eventually BECOME the terrible beast kingdom of the Antichrist.
So it would seem in Daniel 7:
Lion with eagles' wings (Mystery Babylon/America) -> nuclear destruction by Russia and her allies
Ravenous bear (Russia) -> possible destruction during Ezekiel war
Winged leopard (unknown member of Russia's eastern coalition, most likely) -> ends via Antichrist's treachery?
Terrible beast kingdom (Antichrist's kingdom) -> destroyed by Jesus Christ
Of course, I could be wrong about all of it.
Good to see that you are also seeing those beasts of Daniel as contemporary to our times. This is how I was taught many years ago.
1. Lion, (Britain) Eagle`s wings, (USA broken off Britain).
2. Bear. (Soviet Union - now Russia and former soviet nations).
3. Leopard, (European Union).
4. Terrifying beast. (Islam).
If we look up the main international institutions we see that they are controlled by the first three Federations. (G 7, G 20, UN)

Meeting today, friday, Jan 21, 2022 between Russia and US. The two nations met in Geneva for 90 minutes with no breakthoughs.

Good thinking, but two years ago the USA was clearly the premiere (and only) world superpower.
I don't think you can reasonably argue that the Soviet Union or EU have had periods of dominance over the whole Earth.
But you can see - right now - that the USA is clearly faltering and about to fail, while the East rises. We are on the cusp of a shift in power.
Daniel 7 shows that the 4 kingdoms rise one at a time and are concurrent.
1. British Empire and later America `broken off.` After Napolionic wars.
2. Soviet Union after WW 1.
3. EU after WW 2.
4. Islam after WW 3.
The world calls the first three, (as well as the UN) the Quartet of power, or Big 4. As the UN is controlled by the others it is not in the same league.
The Scripture of Daniel 7 does not support the idea that these are concurrent superpowers.
Firstly, why should we read Daniel 7 differently from Daniel 2, which IS a clearly sequential succession of nations?
Secondly, the language of Daniel 7 clearly depicts a succession as well.
Dan 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
Dan 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
Dan 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
Daniel 2 depicts the four empires before Christ's Advent during the time of Rome. Daniel 7 depicts the four superpowers before Christ's return.
These are historic prophecies depicting what was symbolically represented by Moses' striking of the Rock in the wilderness, and then what should have been his speaking to the Rock in the wilderness (though he struck it again, and was thus forbidden to enter the Promised Land.)
The striking of the Rock is Jesus' death on the Cross.
The speaking to the Rock is God conferring all Lordship to His victorious Son.
I've been studying Galacia for genealogy lately. Galacia is the country that Austria, Russia and Hungry ruled until after WWI. It was mostly modern day Poland and Ukraine. Horrible things were done to the peasants during the 100+ years, and the local rulers were part of that. My grandmother's parents fled Galacia in 1906. They came to Canada, got a beautiful homestead with perfect soil. It is still a farm. My dad's youngest cousin runs it. She is younger than me!
My Ukrainian grandfather escaped during WWI, to Canada, his passport was stamped "enemy alien" because it was Austrian, even though he was Ukrainian. Many people escaped Galicia, before & during WWI. But not after, because the Russians made Poland a Russian-run country, and the Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union. They made the kids learn Russian in school, tried to destroy Ukrainian culture.
The worst was Stalin in 1931-32 starved the peasants. He took every single kernel of grain and 10 million died in the Holomodor. Ukrainians hate Russia. All of them! I'm in a number of Ukrainian groups on FB, and one group put up a bunch of translated words. The last one was s____. The translation was Putin. Not one person disagreed, and many nasty words about Putin and Russia were laughed at. This is in every Ukrainian group I am in.
You are not going to find Ukraine ever giving into Russia as long as one Ukrainian is alive. They are ready to fight to the death. Whether they win or not. Ukraine has suffered too much to let Russia take over.
As far as eschatology, the end is not coming the way Dispies envision it. There will be one Second Coming, when Jesus returns for good, to finish setting up the Kingdom. No rapture, which is no where in the Bible! (Not 1 Thess 4:17 if you look at the Greek) it is absurd to think Russia is suddenly going to turn south, when they obviously are most concerned with NATO and Ukraine being a barrier. They are also having issues with one of the "Stans!" For now, Russia is not Gog!
We have no idea when the end will come. Too many people reading stuff into the Bible that is not there. My favourite example is John Hagee writing a book about 4 blood moons in 2016, and that would be the end. Except only part of one blood moon could be seen from Israel! (We had an amazing view of one of the blood moons in Canada, which we watched a long time.) The point is, another failed prophecy, based on bad information. -and yet people still hold onto dispensationalism which has been failinng since 1987, 88, 89, etc.
Read the Bible instead of these scammers trying to make money off their next book predicting the end. Jesus does not know the hour or day, and neither do we! I hope he comes sooner, but it may be much later!

To the Christ follower...the Bible says ...look up...be watchful...the time grows nye. A clear warning to His followers that we will see the indicators...as we see currently.....that the end is here.
Hagee also says God will save all Jews. That is very miss leading....they do not recognize Christ as Savior.

While I do believe there are specific signs given to us in the Scriptures so that we may know the times, I agree with you 100% that as soon as someone puts a specific date on things, they are a false prophet.
Your thoughts on the rapture are interesting. I read Revelation up to about chapter 9 last night and could not see where the "LaHayean" view of the Rapture fits in with that progression of events. My pastor has preached about how each saint experiences a rapture upon death. I do think he believes in an actual corporate Rapture, but he is starting a series on Revelation so I am sure I will see more of his perspective on that soon.
One thing I can say with certainty is that in these times of deception and confusion, we need to pray for wisdom and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Concurrent - The 4th kingdom treads down the others, plus the first three are given an extension of life. Thus they need to be around at the same time.
And yes they (Dan. 7`s 4 kingdoms) are in succession and also continuing till Christ comes to set up his earthly kingdom rule through Israel.

The flight, National Airlines Charter Flight NCR574 for STATE/DOD, landed late last night in Kiev, Ukraine to offload two hundred thousand pounds of ammunition; part of the "lethal" aid being given to Ukraine by the United States.
It then turned sharply eastward and violated Russia air space, and continued to do so for several HUNDRED miles! It overflew the precise region of Russia where all the Russian troops are massed for potential action against Ukraine! Spy much?
