would you agree
that what we see
comes down to us from history?
reverberating exploitation, oppression, slavery
how can it end?
how will we mend?
when deep dark wounds are festering
the lie of equality and justice for all
laid bare by brutality, corruption, and tyranny

Whether you agree with the rioting or not, choosing to focus just on that and not the actual root of what is causing the riots is deflection. Again you can disagree with people burning buildings but lets not forget WHY people are reacting this way.

I can't condone violence and destruction of property but I can sympathize with their anger

well, since the police chief up there said that many of the rioters are from outside the area, a call definitely went out.

probably on " crowds for hire", a website that organizes and pays protesters.

Maybe some riots could be characterized that way, but certainly not all :geek:

Protesting in it's self is alright but there is no excuse for protests to turn into riots. People need to protest without getting all crazy and violent.

all those stores got broken into and thousands and thousands of dollars of merchandise was stolen, buildings got burned down, people got hurt who had nothing to do with what happen, reminded me of the LA riots. why do people have to destroy people’s business and hurt people who had nothing to do with what happened. that has always boggled my mind. that kind of destruction only hurts the community.

This is totally irresponsible. Don't they know they're supposed to be social distancing? Are they wearing masks?!

Where are the Karens of the world when you need them to impose draconian public order measures?

oh, don't worry, the mayor of minneapolis asked the protesters to please wear a mask and social distance while " protesting".

that should fix everything!!

The media and certain public figures go a long way to incite rioting. It's obvious when they hype up a particular injustice while ignoring the dozens of other ones that occur daily.

It seems like it's normally agenda-driven and not justice for the wronged, otherwise they would give all stories the same time and energy.

What did the Minneapolis Police department think was going to happen? I saw the video. There's no question in my mind that was murder.
Thing is, peaceful protest don't work in a police state I'm not condoning the violence but I sympathize with their anger and until things change this will continue to happen

No money in peace only in anarchy.

If you listen carefully you will notice that they do not just want arrests. They want convictions and executions ever before these men get a trial. Two wrongs do not make a right.

This matter must be settled in a court of law not the court of opinion.
