Nah it was just some troll that likes to do that kind of thing. The Russia angle is way beyond worn out.
The Crosswalk Karen of the Hormuz might still be useful, they give the last of the Iranian cult a chance to flee and escape with their lives, their last chance, last ticket out of the country before the righteous miracle begins.
