Even if this isn't fake, that's not going to stop the ship from moving. There are plenty ways to work around it; especially if they think sailors are doing it on purpose.

Not much, with respect to whether or not it will happen- If POTUS thinks it is what needs to be done, then it will be done.
Too simplistic of a question. Some people are just against war in general; some people area against war because "reasons"; and some people are erotically aroused by the mere suggestion of war happening- some are straight for war, and some are gay for war.
Exactly. You have to take all things into consideration. How many people are you going to make angry with your war?
1} They can't win with the hippies.
2) They might be able to justify your war with "reasons" for reasonable people.
3) They will likely have support with people that are straight for war.
4) They automatically have support for people that are gay for war.
There's probably some polls and a mathematical formula that play into it; and then when you do that, you only need a certain amount of support to actually do it.

What's better is the hilarious journey the Russians have taken seriously thinking all this is happening right now. Poor Russia, they thought they were on a great troll roll, but the joke was on them as the US fed them false information as bait from three years ago and they swallowed it whole as the Gerald Ford enters operational range.

The US Navy is a living poopdeck disaster. Considering these guys are breaking at-sea deployment records, it wouldn't be shocking if there was a baby-wipe flushing rebellion, or any other attempt to nudge the ship into a port visit. In any case, nothing short of sabotaging weapons systems or reactor plant systems will delay the inevitable- and most people in a position to do that sort of thing aren't stupid or cowardly enough to do so.
The Russians aren't stupid either... it's not like we can make up a story that will trick them for a long time; they can see where our carrier strike groups are. Everybody knows what's coming, they just can't do anything (reasonable) about it.

The whole Russian propaganda lied to their people cause the CIA deceived them into believing a story from 3 years ago but they're still too crap-for-brains to realize it even after their own articles got the redaction to tell them the truth lol. I know it's supposed to be about Iran, but Russia has really gone out of their way to become the butt of the jokes lol.
Even funnier when you imagine a military officer addressing this topic to men in formation, in a serious tone.
