From what I've read, Russia doesn't buy shaheds from Iran anymore. They make their own and are into their 3 or 4th version, with the latest having jet engines.
Yes, Iran needs all they can get. Russia's drone factories and warehouses are being targeted by Ukraine's home developed missiles. And this while Russia attacks apartment buildings, passenger trains and other civilian targets. Germany tried that in WW2. That strategy failed. Hitler could have attacked the ports where allied troops and stores were landing. But no, he targeted London. A V2 landed a few streets away from my mother's home. I would not be here if it had been much closer. Hitler lost the war. Putin did not get the memo, obviously.

Ukraine is wiping the floor with Russia. Russia is near bankrupt, is running out of soldiers, military hardware and ideas. It's leadership is mired in WW2 tactics. Ukraine is progressively destroying Russia's munitions factories and refineries. America wants Europe to step up. That's happening. Ukraine is now an exporter of home developed weapons.

Since Putin's illegal and immoral invasion, two nations have joined NATO. They were neutral up until that point. Well done Vlad. The thing he feared has come upon him. Credit to Mr Trump and Vlad, Europe has been forced to rearm. Ukraine has used Russia's own tactics. That is to allow the enemy into territory for a bit of distance. Enemy supply lines get stretched, communications gets harder and the enemy is much easier to hit. Russia did that to Germany in WW2.

Russian soldiers don't see it as theater. Ukraine hunts them down with unmanned ground vehicles. America gave up on the idea. Ukraine has little choice. It's amazing what desperation can do. It's a terrible development, but Russia brought this on herself, or rather, Putin did. And Putin has to keep fighting. He has 200,000 soldiers fighting. If the war stops, they will have to find jobs in a smashed economy. Russia was doing fine. All Putin had to do was enjoy his life of luxury and die. Now all his delusions have been shattered. He is paranoid about his safety and he worries about his "friends" as much as his enemies.

Last reports are that he is complaining that he is being treated like a prisoner. I'm not an Aussie, by the way. I've just lived here since 1966. I'd love to know what you think I can learn from a Russian ultra nationalist. Not the truth, that's for sure.

Latest Ukraine strike: 1100 km missile attack on one of Russia's most important oil facilities. You might laugh, Putin is not amused.

It's a vital part of the Druzhba oil pipeline. If Simeon Boikov is your source of information, no wonder you are clueless about the true situation in the Russia Ukraine war. Sorry, 3 day special military operation. Perhaps Putin read the Bible, one day is like 1,000 years. Only 2996 years to go before he takes Ukraine. In his dreams.

And now because Ukraine did that, they no longer will receive revenue from transporting that oil through their territory, and Slovakia and Hungary have cut off all diesel shipments and electricity to Ukraine. See post in Russian thread

The economy is in the condition it's in because of western sanctions
Nope.

It's in the condition it's in because its run by a socialist radical Muslim dictator.
Iran spends ALL its money on weapons, weapons research, and funding terrorist groups.

If it actually spent money on infrastructure (something other than weapons manufacturing) it would be good for the average person living there. Like how about some wells drilled for water? How about doing some maintenance on the oil wells and refineries?

Iran is sitting on a literal fortune in Saffron (metric tons)....that nobody wants because it was made using slave labor and only goes to further terrorism around the world.

It's not just "western sanctions".....its EVERYONE except Russia and China....and China just bowed out....but is still giving the Iranian government Intel about warships in the oceans.

The U.S. military has surged its presence near Iran, moving more than 150 aircraft to bases in Europe and the Middle East since a second round of nuclear talks ended without a breakthrough on Feb. 17, per The Washington Post, citing flight tracking data and satellite imagery.

The Verdict:
The movement of the "Raptors" today is the most significant event. Their arrival in the region (within 6-8 hours) will complete the attack quorum. If Larijani does not bring a complete surrender in Muscat, then dawn on Wednesday or Thursday will be a date with fire—unless Trump prefers his favorite timing: the weekend.

BREAKING 🇺🇸🇬🇧: 12× F-22 stealth fighters have begun departing RAF Lakenheath en route to the Middle East, signaling a major escalation in U.S. air posture.

All 12 F22 Raptors have now taken off and are headed to the Middle East supported by numerous tankers, this represents a significant improvement of US air assault and superiority assets for an attack on Iran.

Israel offered to build desal plants for Iran. Israel leads the world in desal. Iran has been suffering terrible drought for years. Western sanctions have nothing to do with that. Somehow Iran manages to fund terrorists, pay some of said terrorists to brutalise its own citizens and develop a missile program that is offensive, not defensive, in nature. If Iran invested in civilian programs and quit its obsession with the destruction of Israel and the West, sanctions would lift and Iran could be a prosperous and peaceful nation.

So no, Western sanctions are not the problem. Iran's regime is the problem.

I'd note that Pahlavi has noted and praised Israel for their cutting edge desalination and great environmental tech. Pahlavi will not only be friends with Israel, but this specific talk of desalinization and water management is something both the Israelis and Pahlavi have touched upon before. Not only is a Free Iran being friendly to Israel good for regional stability in the sense of lessening the regional tension and ending conflicts, but it'll be a two-way street that is actually beneficial to Iran too, Israel could greatly help a Free Iran to rebuild its water infrastructure, remembering that the water crises in Iran is one of the biggest reasons for the revolution.

BREAKING: IRGC Forces FLEE Iranian Cities - Khamenei LEAVES Tehran

(Not sure if Instagram will link on this site, but i'll provide links and copy paste the text below as well as other links to the phenomenon of Gen Z let's call it dark humor. Perhaps we will forgive the Russian trolls from Telegram for lying about the protests the other day, perhaps the humor of the youth went over their heads. Indeed it's not a protest against the wicked cult leader, it's a heartwarming endearing puppet show, the youth just want to "hang out" with the regime's new mascot Moosh Ali.)

For months now, Iranians have given Ali Khamenei a new name: Moosh Ali — “Mouse Ali.” In Persian, moosh means mouse or rat. The nickname emerged as a response to the image of a ruler who governs from underground shelters while issuing threats to the world above ground.

The chant has echoed in protests:
“This is the year Moosh Ali is overthrown.”

On February 23, during the third consecutive day of protests across Iranian universities, students at Aryamehr University of Technology — renamed after 1979 as Sharif University of Technology — transformed satire into spectacle. They hung toy mice from trees across campus. Plush symbols of “Mouse Ali” swayed openly in the winter air.

Authoritarian systems fear many things: organized opposition, international scrutiny, economic pressure. But above all, they fear losing their aura. They fear becoming objects of laughter.

Then came the surreal image. Pro-regime Basiji students rushed in and climbed the trees to remove the toy mice — scrambling upward to “rescue” a stuffed rodent meant to symbolize their leader.
