no where is the 10 commandments that God spoke unto moses referred as the law of moses. what is referred as the law of moses is the laws that are a branch of the ten commandments, but they are only reffered as the law of moses because he spoke them not because he created them, the laws came from God spoken through moses.

apparently you have one of those Bible Variant editions that include multiple choice conclusions

11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. I John 5

Apparently not....KJV 1611 edition.

I will neither offer an opinion nor concede to your snarky attitude. Go and do your own homework.

You already entered an opinion. So where is the validation. That will be more interesting than your failed attempt at social psychology.

KJV 1611 version

11 And this is the record, that God hath giuen to vs eternall life, and this life is in his Sonne.

12 Hee that hath the Sonne, hath life; and hee that hath not the Sonne, hath not life.

13 These things haue I written vnto you that beleeue on the Name of the Sonne of God, that ye may know, that ye haue eternall life, and that yee may beleeue on the Name of the Sonne of God.

once again, you need to study more

I mean when someone says no one can know if they are actually a child of God, and denies the plain scripture that states the opposite, well, I think we should understand they do not have assurance of their faith

that might be the most serious thing about their 'faith'. Christianity has not changed, but the quality of people's actual understanding seems to have evolved into something barely recognizable

I am dumbfounded at the thought that what you posted is not true because it did nit come fro the KJV 1611. As if it says the apposite.

I am truly saddened and fear for these people

how can I KNOW I have eternal life, if I can’t know it until I die or whenever?

well thats' ok. he'll tell you in another thread that God preordained everything

so that must mean he was not meant to know

Maybe he does not know what he believes, and that’s why he is not assured.

@Dino246 @eternally-gratefull @SophieT @Pilgrimshope i would like for us to be friends, i think i have been mistaking spiritual oppression for spiritual possession. in my fears i was scared that christians could become possessed and myself by not obeying Gods laws.
Like defiling your own body ie making your mind and body unclean through ciggeretes. so im sorry if i have offended you was never my intentions.

I would like to discuss the law with you all and hope that we can remain friends.

Ive been doing a lot of research on this on how God wanted his people to keep clean in the body. Which doesnt just repersent eating clean foods, like when we see laws writen in leviticus, about eating unclean foods, there was more meaning than just eating unclean food there, in the old testerment, like this one underneath

1 Cor 16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

As we can see above God is speaking to born again christians here. There the same meaning as keeping your body clean here also.

Breaking the laws of physical health, such as lack of exercise and rest, injuring and abusing the body, unhygienic practices and poor nutrition, may also produce spiritual effects. Neglecting one's body, Paul says, is a sin of defiling what is holy, and God will punish for it. With an important addition, he repeats this three chapters later in 1 cor 6:18-19 where he also ties in Christ's redemptive sacrifice for us. These types of sins are 1 Corinthians 6:18-19
18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

To be clear there is more than one way to make your body unclean,

Now there is no passage that clearly says if you become a drug addict smoking cannibis or taking other drugs you will defile your own body, But can the holy spirit dwell in a born again christian who becomes a drug addict ?

Just remember, God also told peter that all things are edible.

also remember, Scripture also says it is not what goes into your mouth that defiles the body.

Matthew 15:11
Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

the only sin against the body is sexual sin. if I remember right.

for My part Ive never been offended by you in any way , it’s true we don’t always agree but you have never gotten personal with me in any way

I don’t confuse disagreement with insult so as far as I go , you have never been thought of negatively

I think we sometimes forget we’re in a discussion forum trying to discuss the Bible and some people take it really personally when you don’t agree with them and get personal you aren’t someone who does that at least in my experiences with you

it’s not a sin when we disagree , it becomes an offense when we get personal .

I’m always looking for friends
