I was thinking today, In bible times, the parents were often outnumbered 10 to 1 by their children, and post Moses, didnt live as long as we do today. With so few Elders, no wonder they were given respect because the majority of people would have been in the first half of life.
When most of the western world is starting to be challenged by having so few children that we are barely replacing ourselves, and that we are now living longer due to better nutrition, medicines etc, Does it become harder to respect elders when elders are no longer the minority?
If you could tag your age at the end of your answer, I think that would help people better relate to your answers. Age 44
