You know the parable of the sower and the next one are connected, right? Satan didn’t just pick up the seeds on the road, he planted his own seeds of deception in the field. If the wheat doesn’t grow, then the tares probably will, for nature abhors vacuum. Don’t tell me that’s just a “metaphor”, that’s a real harvest of souls, and it will come to pass in Matt. 3:12 and Rev. 14:15-16. So again, if the “wheats” from the second and third kinds of soil are still fruitless, what’s there to reap?

Jesus commented on celibacy.

Matthew 19:12
For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by people; and there are also eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who is able to accept this, let him accept it.

Celibacy is a valid choice for any serving soldier.

You neglected to state that the apostles went to their deaths proclaiming the gospel. I found no evidence that Mary preached the gospel or went to her death proclaiming the Christ, within the scripture.

The woman is the church and that bride is radiant with the righteousness of the Christ. The apostles are the crown on the brides head and shine like stars.

How do you understand the following verse?

Hebrews 12:14
Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

Is it possible for someone who believes in Jesus but is not pursuing holiness, to be saved?

Regarding parable of sower, which gospel are you referring to? In Luke, there isn't another parable after the sower.


Why are you ADDING to God's Word? No gospel account says this. Quit making up stuff.

Matthew 25:1
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. 3 For when the foolish took their lamps, they did not take extra oil with them; 4 but the prudent ones took oil in flasks with their lamps. 5 Now while the groom was delaying, they all became drowsy and began to sleep. 6 But at midnight there finally was a shout: ‘Behold, the groom! Come out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps. 8 But the foolish virgins said to the prudent ones, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ 9 However, the prudent ones answered, ‘No, there most certainly would not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the merchants and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the groom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. 11 Yet later, the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ 12 But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Be on the alert then, because you do not know the day nor the hour.

Is it possible to exclude the obvious and cling to once saved always saved, regardless of the lifestyle?

This is from Matt. 13:24-30, the parable of the wheat and the tares. "But while the men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way." You're either playing dumb or really dumb.

The point of parables was to give the truth to those who weren't paying attention anyway. So don't you play dumb.

Those who base their doctrines on parables are on shaky ground. A person can say nearly anything about what a parable is about and no one can challenge that because they could be taken a number of ways.

In fact, Jesus had to explain His parables to His own disciples, because even they couldn't understand them.

How do you understand the following verse?

Hebrews 12:14
Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

I see two things.

1. the author was referring to no one else will see the Lord through your life if you don't pursue peace/holiness.
2. the believer who doesn't pursue peace/holiness will be out of fellowship with the Lord.

Both are true.

Is it possible for someone who believes in Jesus but is not pursuing holiness, to be saved?

Your question suggests strongly that one's efforts in lifestyle are saves. Is that really your view?

Do you believe that everyone receives the gift of eternal life when they believe? Or this there some time frame after initial saving faith that one receives eternal life?

Do you believe that everyone who receives eternal life will not perish?
