There’s a doctrine going around called Cessationism which teaches dat spiritual gifts such as speaking in tongues, prophecy and healing have ceased since pentecost. This is completely bogous and asinine and unbiblical, even I speak in tongues sometimes and after I was born again I started seeing visions which were prophetic and actually came true aswell.

just like the bible says in Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

the only thing dat has ceased is peoples faith in Gods power as the bible says in 2 timothy 3:5 they have a form of godlyness but they deny the power off.

Lets go 2 the scriptures where there were many miracles done with the power of the holy spirit and where the holy spirit was poured out onto people after pentecost.

Also just 2 mention a prophecy from david in pslams Acts 1:16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 5:12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.

Acts 5:15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Acts 6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

Acts 6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

Acts 8:5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

Acts 9:40 peter raised a woman from the dead.

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Acts 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

So u see hear folks, many works and miracles and out poring of the holy spirit after Pentecost in acts.

Don’t be fooled by these silly erroneous doctrines which go totally against the bible which are purposely made by the enemy 2 deceive you and turn u away from the truth and 2 destroy ur faith.

Take authority against the demons God has given it 2 his children and don’t be fearful, don’t be weary, Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

What do you think of the covid 19 situation then? If signs and wonders have not ceased, why is even Bethel church canceling all their healing squads now, and moving to online services?

When you start healing COVID 19 victims and begin raising them from the dead, you can boast of the gifts. Today's claim to the gifts has zero substance.

The gifts are still here and will be as long as we live in this age………….but do not look for signs.

John 14:11-12
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

what du mean don't look 4 signs tho?

John 4:48
Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.”

Just do not look for signs. Signs will come to all soon enough.

You use terms loosely. Is the gift of teaching a sign? What about serving? Is discernment of spirits a sign? What about the gift of faith?
We are talking about the Charismatic Gifts you claim to have but cannot prove.

So miracles signs and wonders type healings are not for today when most needed?
The Spirit gives the I Corinthians 12 gifts as He wills like the passage says. Do you disagree? Do you have the right to tell the Spirit of God that He may not will something?

Btw, notice the lack of logical connection between my post and your response. Your response does not follow from what I wrote.

I have read a report about healings of Corona virus in China.

The Spirit gave the gifts only through an Apostle's hands or in the two outpourings.

“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” Hebrews 2:3–4 (KJV 1900)

You are taking from God's word if you ignore the Apostles who the Spirit used to distribute the gifts.

So this is my question, why didn't Philip lay hands on and pass the Holy Spirit to the Ethiopian eunuch? Why did he not pass the gifts on to the Samarians, but rather waited for Peter and John to come?
Why then did Paul when giving instructions to Timothy, say if any one is sick bring them to the elders of the church and they will anoint them with oil and the prayer of faith will save the sick, Rather than one of you who has the gift lay hands on them? And take some wine for often infirmities?
Why also does these gifts seemingly disappear in the writings of the next generation of Church fathers? Polycarp, Didache, Ignatius, Justin Martyr, Tertullian, through the reformation leaders like Augustine, and Luther through to the late 1800's you see a lack of any mention of the gifts, why is that? Then in 1900 you see this resurgence of the gifts, except you see it very much happening against the instruction Paul gave to the Corinthians. For 1800 years nothing then it comes back, but not as scripture instructs. If you read the Azuza street book you very much see that they were seriously violating the instructions to the Corinthians, by their own description, it was disorderly, some would even say chaotic.

How do you know Jesus didn't call you for that type ministry ? I doubt He called you to attack those that do .. What is your ministry anyway ?

THIS PRETTY MUCH SAYS IT ALL.
Trying to go against that?
About all you can say is "good luck buckwheat"

Uh,wonder why he left us the Holy Spitit baptism imparted through laying on of hands?

The sign gifts were meant to be seen. But we have not seen them since the Epistles where Paul no longer healed anyone but helped them cope in their sicknesses.
