Recommendations for a good study Bible?

I would suggest you buy a regular Bible, as opposed to a study Bible, read it cover to cover, and if you have questions, ask the Lord to explain things to you. My fear is that people will read a study Bible and let the authors do their thinking for them. Authors don't always know what they are talking about.
