Recommendations for a good study Bible?

Actually, a concordance in the back would only be helpful for exercising. Those things are big, bulky, and heavy. (I remembering hearing a grunt every time either he or I had to pull out ye-old-concordance. lol) I'd estimate between a concordance and the Bible itself, you'd be lifting 5-7 pounds each time.
As for study aid Bible? We went through this decision 20 years ago, (our old Bibles were dying), and after all the research was done we went with the ESV.
Honestly? The results might have changed if we had to do it today, but it was good for what we wanted out of it.
Now, we've gotten older and lazier. So, we usually just use e-sword for studying since it has all the references we want.

Eventually I will get my own but my old NASB from 40 years ago I still use even after taping many torn pages. I have lot's of notes in it that I don't want to loose. Hope this helps.

i dont recommend study bibles its some man u dont know telling u what is what. There are some men that u can trust. can u explain why u dont want a dispensational study bible? if u not dispensational ur bible study is destined to fail and lead to contradictions and confused mind. old testament is different from da new, that is dispensations at its basic level. God made some promises to Israel in the old testament and they are still yet to be fulfilled and they will be! the church does not replace Israel this is one big mistake you can do if you are not dispensational.
if you really want a study bible you can try MacArthur study bible. i dont agree wid him on everything but this could be good for ur collection.

I'm not a fan of study Bibles myself, but you may try John MacArthur's study Bible. My brother had one, many use them and recommend them.

You don't have to lose the notes you made. You can transfer them to your new Bible. I have done it several times.
I am wanting to replace my 35 year old Bible which is literally being held together with black duct tape.
I have a wide margin, black letter Cambridge King Jimmy with Berkshire leather.....bought it new in 1995 after I wore out my first one in 5 years (a cheap bible my brother bought me) I like the Cambridge.....I paid $185 in 95 so not sure of the price now, but it has held together pretty good....maybe 5 years ago I started supergluing the pages in from usage.....
I study all the words from the Greek and Hebrew and make prolific notes in the margins.....and color code using colored pencils.......

Yeah I like it....when I was in Au a while back was going to buy me a new one.....was like almost $400 AU.....I was like....ummmmm I will glue my pages back in HAH....
I have regular Bibles and have been doing my own studies for forty some years. I am just not so arrogant as to think I am the only wise man in the world and that I can't learn from anyone else. lol
